We felt right at home at Hostal Iskay. The staff was wonderful. They were nice enough to hold our luggage while we stayed for two days in Machu Picchu. Like other reviewers, we also stayed in Room #7. It was like a little cottage. I stood in the bathroom brushing my teeth and looked out the window for a direct... More

Every little hotel or Hostal we've stayed in this Peru trip we have loved, but this place just takes the cake. It actually took my breath away as we left reception and walked down the short garden path to room 7. The views of the Ollantaytambo ruins are divine, the garden is serene and colorful, the room is clean and... More

My teenage son and I stayed 3 nights at Hostal Iskay and loved its charm! We had Iskay arrange a pick up at Cuzco airport for an hour and half ride to Ollantaytambo, which cost $55. From town of Ollantay to Cuzco, the going price for taxi seemed to be S/100 ($33), so you can decide if you want to... More

Hostal Iskay is nestled on a hillside along Patacalle, one of the remarkable original streets in Ollanta, and was a perfect choice to stay at in this idyllic Inca village. This place blended right into the overall feeling of the village and you could almost hear the footsteps of its centuries old history. Iskay is not high-end luxurious but being... More

Hostal Iskay was our first stay in the Sacred Valley and a great introduction to Ollantaytambo. We spent two nights here before moving on to Machu Picchu. The hostel had a driver pick us up from the Cusco airport for US$55, a worthwhile amount to spend for piece of mind and ease of travel after long flights from the US.... More

The hotel is located few minutes walk from the town center. You can see the ollanta ruins from the garden and even the room. The staff are helpful and ready to give advised about where to go and what to see in the town. The best thing is breakfast. Its simple but tasty. The have homemade Muslim and fresh honey.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Its very basic but thats great and in keeping with the town. That said it is very clean and comfortable with Wifi. The view over the ruins in the morning is great. The breakfast is also awesome - they make their own toasted muesli and its AMAZING! Wish I could've taken some home!!! The... More

We booked this hotel based on the reviews and the really cheap price on offer for the rooms. We were not disappointed. The hotel staff was very friendly (especially the Italian guy) and they provided us with a neat map to explore the area. They packed us breakfast and lunch at 5 am in the morning for our day trip... An absolutely enchanting Hostal in Ollantaytambo. Incredible, imposing view of the Inca ruins across the river from the rooms. A terrific location right near the plaza, but nice and quiet and a great, wholesome breakfast each morning included. Their taxi service is reliable too. Beautiful rooms - not some boring hotel room - you will know you are in Peru!

My son and I stayed for just one night and loved the place. A simple but comfortable twin room, warm bedlinen - and, it turned out in the morning that the sweet hotel cat unbeknownst to us had slept under our bed. Breakfast was lovely, the views from the garden across to the ruins amazing and everybody was incredibly friendly.... More
