I would love to give this hotel a better rating as it has a lot going for it. It's in a great location, the rooms are fine and atmosphere quaint. But it lets itself down by monitoring its website not being away what's offered on their site. We made an online booking and paid around US$11 by PayPal as deposit... More

I was one of 12 students who flew down to Peru to do acts of service in various cities. We ended our time with a three day vacation to Machu Picchu its surrounding cities. Hostal Los Andenes was by far the best hostel we stayed at during our time in Peru. They sent a van to pick us up from... More

We ended up paying more than we're used to (double)!!! Because we couldn't find anything else online. The only positive was the bed. Amazingly comfortable and clean! Okay private bathroom. The problem was the next morning. We had been asked what time we wanted our breakfast, 8:30am. At 8:30 there was no one out in the common room. I found... More

The hostel has a bed and breakfast appeal to it and the rooms.are beautiful and comfortable. We did has issues in the morning with the included breakfast as the staff did forget and we waited well over an hour after they said they would provide the breakfast, which included a scrambled egg and bread. Overall, I wouldn't say it was... More

Stayed here for two nights after Machu Picchu and thought it was a great, if not accidental find. Having asked around town and having stayed elsewhere before our trip we found this to be the best value, had the fastest internet, was the only place to offer free towels and had really hot water. It was great getting all this... More

This is a nice hostel in an excellent location. It has three kinds of rooms and I stayed in the best one. They have a beautiful garden at the back. The rooms are clean and have an appropriate size, the wi-fi signal was good as well as the hot water. Breakfast was ok. I'll stay there again whenever I go... More

Far more than we expected, the staff are amazingly friendly and hospitable! The view from our room was right at the ruins on the hills and the rooms were very comfy, clean and bathroom was very good with as much hot water as you like (which isn't always the case in this part of the world). They also allowed us... More

Great location! Hotel located a few steps away from Plaza de Armas and at the end of the street is the ruin. Very close to all the good restaurants and a Qwik-e-mart. The train station to Machu Picchu is a mile away from hotel but walkable. We were a family of four and were given a nice big room that... More

Mixed review of this hostel. Pros: - nice hostel - good bed - hot shower - clean - good location Cons: - didn't have any record of our booking (booking.com) but it is low season so they had spare rooms. Probably wouldn't have worked out so well in high season. - no wifi in the room, and even in the... More

This is a nice and simple place to stay. Its close to the train station and the family that owns and runs it was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. They stayed up late to welcome us back from MP when we caught the late train. Clean room and bed. Wifi only in common area unfortunately.
