We stayed 2 nights with our family of four. The location in Ollantaytambo is wonderful - quietly tucked away on a pedestrian walk right outside the ruins, a block from the main square and a 5-7 minute walk to the train station. The owners were very cheerful and friendly. They speak little English but we communicated fine with Google Translator... More

We stayed one night on our way to Machu Picchu. The location is outstanding, right next to the Ollantaytambo ruins. It was nice and clean, well decorated, and the lady running it was very cheerful and helpful. Our room upstairs (31) was a quadruple (four single beds). We were a couple and a teenager, and while we preferred a double/queen... More

We stayed for two nights in April, only because we had pre booked the hotel . We should have left after the first night. There was not hot water, when we asked about it they said maybe it would come on at night!! The room was not cleaned, or the bed made. the breakfast was average. The staff did not... More

Room small but clean with inconsistent hot water.  Request large portable radiator heater.  Very accommodating staff.  Breakfast in unheated but attractive stone room with eggs cooked to order and fresh squeezed orange juice.  Get a receipt when you pay..Booking.com was under the impression that we did not show up and wanted to charge us again.  We loved our stay in Ollantaytambo... We stayed for 1-night on our trek to Machu Picchu in February. I found our room a little too rustic for my liking. It had a double and single bed, a small desk and very little room for anything else. There was a nice warm blanket on the bed and it was comfortable enough although the pillows were not great.... More

This is a nice, cute hostel to stay if you want to be a bit away from the noise. It is about 1 minute from the main market, and 5 minutes from the main square. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. Yummy breakfast served as well. Clean rooms, free wifi, really hot showers, warm comfy beds.

First off Ollantaytambo is wonderful and this Hostal was as well. The family who runs it are very sweet and helpful. We had been traveling for a while and needed clothes washed. The woman running the Inn washed them by hand for a small extra charge. She was so accommodating throughout our stay and seemed very sincere. We had a... More

Ollantaytambo is, for those in the know, a site perhaps even more powerful than Machu Picchu. K'uychi Punku sits 25 feet off the main archaeological plaza, so all one need do is step out the door and into the rui9ns. Convenient, comfortable, wifi, congenial owners. What is not to like? This has become my go-to hotel in Ollantaytambo.

Ollantaytambo is the main starting point for the Inca Trail hike and, as such, it is very busy and touristy with visitors being predominately young. The hotel is located as close as you could get to the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Park and it is within easy access of many restaurants. The hotel itself includes part of the old Inca structures and... More

As other reviews say, the modest hotel is great value and great location. Most of all -- 200% service. My sister got a bad intestinal bug the evening of our first day. The owner and her son took care of contacting medical personnel to come to the hotel at 8 PM. At 10, the owner changed her room from a... More

“L'unico problema è che l'acqua calda va SEMPRE controllata prima di fare la doccia. Se ci sono problemi, tuttavia, li risolveranno in pochi minuti. BE sure to check the hot water before having a shower. They can have problems with it, but they will sort every probelm out in 2 minutes, if you only ask.”
