Getting to Machu Picchu is not extremely easy but more than worth the effort. When you arrive and see the long line of people waiting to catch the bus to Machu Picchu, you will be extremely happy that you are lucky enough to be staying at the Sanctuary Lodge. The food was very good as was the overall service. Again,... More

The Belmond Sanctuary Lodge at Machu Picchu has made a name for itself, being the only hotel to be situated next to world famous ruins of Machu Picchu (the other hotels are in the valley below). Prices may be high, but the Belmond-style of hospitality make sure that you are well taken care of. You can opt for a full-board,... More

Unique access to Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu hike. Excellent service, beautiful grounds with relaxing orchid garden and lounges with views of Mountain and ruins. But the big deal is staying there means that you don't have to wake up at o dark thirty to see Machu Picchu

This lovely hotel is located at the top of Machu Picchu just 50 feet in front of the entrance gate. It is the only hotel in Machu Picchu park-all the others are 20 minutes across the valley in Agua Calientes. The hotel only has 38 rooms and reservations are often booked a year in advance. We stayed there with the... More

We had an overnight stay at the lodge which is literally steps away from the entrance to Machu Picchu park. Our room had a private patio overlooking the garden. Both dinner and breakfast the next morning were first class, and our bartender gave our group a lesson in making Pisco Sour cocktails. Marvelous experience in all respects!

Fabulous resort, small rooms but the perfect location for spending enjoying Machu Picchu. This hotel chain is definitely five star. I had a nice massage, the only issue was the noise from the hallway. Top thread count and soft sheets and nice large soft towels. I highly recommend.

This beautiful resort is right at the entrance. The venue is lovely and the restaurant very nice. There are beautiful walking gardens. The rooms are very nice but it is amazing to be right at the entrance to Machu Picchu. It makes it so much easier to enter in theearly morning or to be one of the last to leave.

We stayed here with our tour with National Geographic. My bedroom over looked the entrance gate. There is no better place to stay when visiting Machu Picchu. The hotel is wonderful.
