This is definitely not one of the best hotels when you compare it to the rest of the world, but I think a great option for being in Aguas Calientes. When evaluating a hotel in this town, you have to consider how remote you are and there are no roads to get to AC and everything comes in on the... More

Spent two nights here, the night before and the night after our Machupicchu adventure. Was really surprised how nice it is, rooms are very big and comfortable, hotel is well maintained, close to chops and restaurants. Restaurant had a good menu and food was really good. Good breakfast included everyday and service and people were just wonderful, they are so... More

I was traveling by myself and had a huge luscious room with enormous bath, big balcony, great breakfast and a great ambiance. Loved it - A short bus ride to Machu Picchu from here. Right on the Square, around the corner (easy walk) to the tour office to meet the guides and see the Main Event! Loved my short stay... More

Agree with other recent reviews about the location and staff. Beware the mosquitos that sneak in to your room. We booked because they advertised a hot tub, however, found that 1. the hot tub did not look like it had worked for a while, 2. they did have a beautiful COLD pool - but it was too cold outside for... Hidden on an uphill street this place was great for one night passing through to Machu Picchu. Hot shower, strong wifi, and friendly staff was important after many, many days of trekking Salkantay! This is an affordable place for the Flashpacker that could use a comfortable bed and electricity after many nights in tents!

We arrived by train way too early to check in and the friendly staff at Gringo Bills were very accommodating. The place is very funky and artistic, with stairways leading to rooms in all directions. We were given rooms on the third floor with fantastic views of the mountains and town. The staff were so kind and upgraded our daughters... More

We were transferred to this hotel when the one we booked had plumbing problems. It happens sometimes; you just hope the one they send you to is going to be at about the same level. This was not. Though we always stay at interesting, characterful boutique hotels, some cheap and some pricey, our experience with this one was more kitsch... More

Booked for 3 nights and thought it was ok with some minor problems until we checked out. The manager had made it clear at check in that they dont charge the 10% service tax. So to our surprise they wanted to charge us $50 US IN CHECK OUT FOR DIRTY TOWELS!!! When we questioned this they showed us and it... More

We had a triple room and it was very nice and comfortable, although due to the climate and no heating in the building it had a cold and damp feeling. The staff were very friendly though and tried to cater to our every wish. From what I saw of other places it was probably one of the best on offer.... More
