Booked for 3 nights and thought it was ok with some minor problems until we checked out. The manager had made it clear at check in that they dont charge the 10% service tax. So to our surprise they wanted to charge us $50 US IN CHECK OUT FOR DIRTY TOWELS!!! When we questioned this they showed us and it... More

We had a triple room and it was very nice and comfortable, although due to the climate and no heating in the building it had a cold and damp feeling. The staff were very friendly though and tried to cater to our every wish. From what I saw of other places it was probably one of the best on offer.... More

Gringo Bill's was a welcome reprieve after the four day Salkantay trek and walking the seven miles of rr track. Our upstairs room was expansive with a decent view of the valley over the rooftops. The staff was friendly from the first email correspondence to checking out. Breakfast had eggs made to order and cordial staff. Odd but cute architecture... More

Excellent stay in this very interesting, full of character Hotel. Larry was amazing, we arrived and he walked us to the ticket office straight away, walked us to the bus booth and was just all round cool. Made the experience easy and care free. Great eggs at breakfast, everyone so friendly, fantastic location, can't praise it enough. thank you, one... More

The location is perfect...just off one of the main squares making it close to the buses up to Macchu and not too far from the trail if you choose to hike. The staff was incredibly helpful. They let us check in early the day we arrived and stored our bags for free the next day when we went up to... More

We stayed at the Gringo Bill's Hotel in Aguas Calientes for 1 night in mid April ($72). Located on a narrow alleyway just off the Plaza de Armas, your first impression as you enter the lobby – dark and cramped – is not a positive one. As you climb the stairs toward your room, however, you enter the inner courtyard... More

I had read a lot of reviews here about hotels in Aguas Calientes (or Machu Picchu Pueblo as it now seems to be known!) My first instinct was to book Gringo Bills and I eventually ended up doing that - and I'm so happy I did! Perfect location, big room with a balcony, hot water and great range of TV... More

Gringo Bills boutique Hotel was wonderful for me! After being on the road for over 26 hours, and after flights, taxis, personal car and inca rail, I arrived in Aguas calientes . I arrived fatigued and disorganized, and was so happy to be met at the train station by Larry ( God bless you!). I had to get tickets for Machu Pichu,... More

Gringo Bill's is nestled in the small Sacred Valley at the base of mountain upon which sits Machu Picchu. It is an older but mostly well-maintained property with accommodations that far exceed many Peruvian hotels. If you are expecting red carpet treatment with perfect accommodations, room service and big city amenities, then you probably shouldn't be coming to this part... More
