Run by a lovely family. Kind and helpful staff. Very very clean. Breakfast is generous and tasty. Beds were very comfortable. Location is so convenient, right next to where the train arrives into Machu Picchu Pueblo and within walking distance of everything in town. Unfortunately our room didn’t have an external window, just a large window into the corridor so it felt a bit claustrophobic and let a lot of noise in from the corridor, so I would definitely choose a river view room next time if staying more than one night. Other than that I would definitely recommend Susanna Inn!

Excellent hotel to stay at during your visit. Great staff and very clean. If you come in on Ica Rail the hotel is just steps away. Great water pressure for showering. A generous breakfast. Magnificent views of towering mountains and the river are just outside your window. Everything is just a short walk away.

The Susanna Inn is between the railroad tracks and the river. This makes it convenient for coming and going, as well immediately near fine restaurants. At first, I worried that it would be noisy next to the train tracks, but the trains don't run at night! It was perfectly quiet at night. The staff were all friendly and helpful. My room was large, modern, and very clean, with a view right over the river. I had a torrent of hot water in the shower and a soft, clean bed. I could ask for nothing better.

I chose this Inn because it was a more affordable option than where my friends chose to stay. It’s at the end of town which is conveniently right where the train drops you off (and still only 5 minutes from the town center). The room was spacious and clean, and exactly what you’d want after a long day of exploring Machu pichu. With my group setting a firm 5:25am bus rendezvous, I was a bit worried about getting breakfast served in time. We sat at 5am, had fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, bread with butter and jam, Peruvian granola with yoghurt and fruit salad. Followed by scrambled eggs and tostados. We were out by 5:20 and got to see our sunrise!

Our group of volunteers had a great stay at Susanna Inn. The view of the river outside the hotel windows was beyond spectacular. The employee named Willy really helped our group with several logistical challenges throughout our stay (transportation, covid tests, etc) and we greatly appreciated all his efforts.

first off, we hope that Willy and the rest of the staff here are safe after the terrible flooding, and please be in touch if there’s anything we can do to help support you. staying here in Sept 2021 was one of the most incredible parts of our journey through Peru and I would come back in a heartbeat. they provided us with an incredible view of the river and it was very peaceful (at the time we were there) listening to it at night. one thing I need to say in the breakfast - oh my, the breakfast! - is incredible and worth it just to have the incredible meal they created - really top notch and I still sometimes think about the spread (they’re smart to provide list of options at check in so they’re prepared when you arrive to eat in the morning). Not to mention, the breakfast spot has an incredible view of the river and cliffside. When we got off the train, we got turned around and went to a different hotel to seek assistance, who called Willy and he came and got us to show us where we should be (and that’s definitely the truth, this was the spot to be!). We always felt welcomed and everyone was so kind - when we needed to wait for the train and I had to work, they allowed us to post up in the lobby and wait comfortably. Really loved it here and looking forward to coming back - wonder if my Nalgene bottle ever turned up that I forgot at the Machu Picchu cafe but Willy did his best to try find it (it was my fault for forgetting). Wonderful people, food, and clean rooms - highly recommend!

It was a great value and a great place to stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was great in the morning and it was beautiful to be right on the river. Our rooms were great and there was hot water after our 4 day Inca trail hike!

Decent accommodation very close to the train station. The room was good size and had all the amenities you would expect. There is the constant sound of the raging river that makes it special. Good breakfast. Lots of restaurants close by. If you are on the first floor then you can expect to hear a bit of noise from the lobby and breakfast area. Would I stay there again? Sure.

This place is great. Amazing view of the Urubama River. So beautiful after a heavy rain and the sound of heavy flowing water was very soothing. Shut the window, and hear near nothing. Rooms were clean and staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The staff at this hotel were very kind! The rooms were clean. They made sure to have breakfast ready for us early in the morning since we were heading to Machu Picchu at sunrise. The hotel was only a few minute walk from the main downtown area of Aguas Calientes.
