I reserved 3 nights via booking.com. The photos on the website looked acceptable and the description of the room and facilities sounded reasonable. For 70US a night we had some expectations from previous places we've stayed around Peru, however they definitely were not met! I felt the website and information provided in the booking confirmation email were misleading. There is... More

Basic hotel with no frills. Breakfast was very limited. Some problems with the toilets. On the plus side, friendly staff and good location 2 minutes from the cost. Miraflores is great and the shopping is excellent.

We stayed there as part of an Intrepid Travel Group trip. We expected basic accommodations, but there were other issues. First, the GOOD: is located in a decent area that is a short walking distance from waterfront and the parks near the ocean. The staff seems to try to accommodate the guests. For example, we were a bit late for... More

Stayed 2 nights as part of an Intrepid group tour. I also added 1 night before and 2 nights after, so total of 5 nights. 1st night was the only one in a single room, which was small but not unacceptably so. Later found that the bathroom sink would not drain. It took several tries to get the staff to... More

Disappointed from the start. No elevator and on the 3rd floor which wasn't too bad except when carrying suitcase up and down. Room was musty and damp. Bathroom tiny with the toilet so close to the wall you can't sit straight on. Power points loose and hanging off the wall. Bedding and towels had stains. Replaced after I complained. The... More

After reading many negative reviews about this hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised. We checked in after a late night flight, staff were helpful and friendly. All spoke reasonable English. Only stairs, no lift but staff carry bags up for you. Room was small but clean and comfortable. It had bar fridge, TV and ensuite. Bathroom was compact but very... More

We have stayed at the el Farro for years and put many of our clients there..... but no more! They have recently raised the prices fired all the old staff and hired underage girls to do the cleaning.. The rooms were Not clean. The old staff was blamed for a decrease in business and a new manager was hired. The... More

The water is cold. The women at the desk (both the day and night one) are rude and bothered by your questions or basically existence. There is a nice patio where we ate breakfast one morning but was told it was "to cold" the other days?!? The beds are lackluster in the fact that you get a sheet and a... More

The staff at this hotel was exceptional in every way. They went out of their way to help us with many details, arrangements and recommendations. The hotel is ideally located less than a block from the Malecon. The Malecon is a walkway that goes for miles above the ocean with parks all along the way. The Larco Mar (upscale shopping... More

Stayed here on 2 seperate occasions due to booking a trip with Intrepid Travel. Have to say this is an awful hotel. On both occasions we had no hot water, and when I say "we", we were a group of 11 people, so it wasn't just a one off! The breakfast is awful, you just get a slice of bread... More
