The hostel have very good position in Baranco, right under the Ponte Dos Suspiros. To add there is also great roof terrace with bar and kitchen. The minuses are low pressure of water (toilet flush can be problem, 2-3 attempts) and hot water is not guaranteed. Also, even there are cameras, we got bad incident with theft and injecting drugs...

A proper hostel for the travel bug. Great beds. Good clean bathrooms. Recrptive and informative staff. Global clients. Good people all around. Comfortable common areas. Excellent location. Good coffee with continental breakfast. Well rounded place that also offers tours, travel services, a bar, and bike rentals. Tons of books. Secure lockers. A great kitchen. Really a special suprise in the...

PROS: Kaminu's location is pretty great- on one of the main walking streets in downtown barranco- right by the water and major bars/restaurants. The rooftop is a really cool place to hangout- with a bar/kitchen area and a nice open place to meet other travelers and relax. Wifi is also strong, reliable, and free. Staff is friendly and helpful. CONS:...

The staff at this hostel weren't very interested in the guests. The dorm I was in is adjacent to a street with lots of bars on it so it's very noisy at night. While I was staying there it was pretty empty so the atmosphere was a bit dead. Good location though.

We stayed here after visiting Machu Picchu and were looking for an inexpensive place to stay for a couple of days before the flight home. The staff were very helpful and we loved the rooftop kitchen that was there to use for meals & the breakfast they provided (continental but ok). Lots of information available about things to do and...

This is a cool hostel for backpackers and young travelers. In a prime location, with a nice rooftop to drink and do a little pregame partying before the bars. We stayed in a private room on the first floor, so I can't speak for the dorm rooms, but ours was well kept and clean. No air conditioning sucked because it...

We stayed at Kaminu based on the fact that it was well located in Barranco and it had good reviews. The hostel was incredibly underwhelming. First impressions were that the staff were completely uninterested in any of the guests and we spent a lot of time waiting to check in because they were far more interested in their lunch. Things...

I would give the hostel overall an average rating, in terms of the facilities. The people were very friendly though service was pretty lax (as is to be expected at places like this). They're part of the 'very good' rating. Anyway, the rooms/building itself is pretty basic/average for a hostel. The rooftop bar was a nice place to hang out....

Its very familiar and they have a really good vibe in the hostel. Also a nice rooftop, where you can sleep in the hammock if you want and you can get the best massage in here! Unfortunatelly you cannot see the sea from the rooftop, otherwise it would be perfekt.
