We stayed in one of the private double rooms (with private bathroom) for one night during our stopover in Lima, on the way to Cusco. The hostel is located right in the heart of the Barranco neighborhood and within walking distance to a plethora of different restaurants, bars, museums, and even the beach. The hostel was fairly quiet at night, as it was located on side street off of the main road. The accommodations were just what we needed and everything was well maintained and clean. The common areas and shared kitchen were well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. The staff were very friendly and able to arrange an airport transfer for us. Unfortunately, we left too early to enjoy the included breakfast. We tried to stay here again on the tail end of our trip, but it was booked up.

Paying 100 soles for a room (single) is the highest price during all the 12 years I have been travelling and the worst service and environment. It is VERY very NOISY at night because it is situated at a square where it is a parking area. The whole night long cars, motors etc are coming and going; many have loud sound out of the motor and also radiospeakers on loud moreover streetpeople use it as a place to gather and talk. The guy who suppose to watch the cars is screaming all the time: “dale, dale, back, forward, etc.”. The smell of emission gasses of the cars is horrible and enter my room. It is summer now and hot so the windows are open. The price is inclusive breakfast and the breakfast is very limited, EACH day the same: 2 pcs of bread, a greenboiled egg and hot water to make tea and a small bag of instant coffee for a cup of coffee and banana or a mandarin. When I asked for a fried egg they said it was not possible. I asked for "pan integral" which they gave me. I went there by day to see the place and the room and I asked if they could deduct maybe something from the price in order to have breakfast outside, because I am used to eat fruitsalade and yoghurt in the morning. The owner was not willing to deduct 10 soles from the price. The room is a good room although for this price I think a small night lamp would be possible so you don't have to use the big lamp when at night you wake up because of the noise. Now and then I have to work at the computer for longer time so I sat in the breakfast room to do my work. The receptionist enters without greeting the guests (not only me) and placed herself behind her desk. The sound of her computer rather high watching tele-novellas. So I asked her to lower the noise. The comment was that if I wanted quietness I should go to my room. I told her that was not possible because the chairs and the table in the room are not made for doing computerwork: within 10 minutes my back was hurting because of the wrong position I was sitting in. So she lowered the noise of her computer a little bit but it still was high. I went again and asked to lower the volume. She got annoyed and looked at me in a certain way ….. ok, she then lowered it so much that it did not really bother me anymore. But each day again it was the same. After 4 days being in the room they still had not cleaned it, nor given clean towels, or clean sheets. So I asked the owner if they could clean at least the floor of the room because of all the traffic there is a lot of dust and dirt. He said that they do that every 4 days so tomorrow they were gonna clean the room. I left at 8 o’clock and came back at 2 o’clock. No clean room yet and it does not have sooo many rooms. So I asked the lady at the reception. Again her face got disturbed ….. but 10 minutes later another woman walked in and asked me: Do you want me to clean your room?? Yes senora, that was the deal….. more or less. This comment I wrote Thursda at 2.30 in the morning because streetpeople in front of my window where shouting at eachother and woke me up; apart from all the cars that leave and enter. Now Fridaynight at 11 o'clock, it is even worse. My television is on but now and then I even cannot here the sound of my television because of all the cars and the screeming of the people in the street. The location could be "excellent" but because of the parkingplace in front of the hotel it now is classified as "poor", especially by night. The owner told me I had to pay in advance so I paid 700 soles in advance (stupid me). If not, I would have gone to another place which unfortunately was not possible now. For 100 soles a night I found much better and more quiet places.

My highlight of the Inn was the location, its in main Barranco, in between old and beautiful houses and very close to the sea, you just have to get out of the Inn to watch the sea. The service and the place was good for a backpackers place.

Great pit stop for my boyfriend and I before we travelled to the airport. Location seems safe and friendly. Elvis on the front desk was lovely and very helpful. He made sure we had breakfast before our early departure for the airport which was very sweet. Would recommend
