Secondhomeperu embodies the spirit of Peruvian culture combined with the tranquility of the Pacific. This majestic guesthouse with five bedrooms/baths is nestled conveniently in the heart of Barranco, Lima's arts district. Once home to the Peruvian sculptor Victor Delfin, to enter Secondhomeperu is to enter an artist's imaginative world, replete with its creative works. You do not need to search far to find the seedlings of inspiration; they abound in the gardens, terraces and Pacific views of this historic Tudor mansion.

Property's Favorite Review
I only stayed for one night at the end of a tour of Peru and wished I could have spent longer in this fabulous little B&B. It feels more like a boutique hotel that could cost twice the price, with amazing sea views, a wonderful collection of art and beautifully designed common spaces. I stayed in the Ocean View Room, which was almost as big as my entire flat in London, and slept like a baby in the incredibly comfortable bed after a soak in the enormous bathtub. August nights in Lima can be cool and damp but I was very cosy thanks to the electric heater and luxurious bedding!
The location is unbeatable, moments away from the Bridge of Sighs and Bajada de Baños, with fabulous restaurants, coffee shops and bars a block away (I highly recommend dinner at Awicha!), but tucked away down a little side street in what feels like an incredibly peaceful haven from the hustle and bustle of Lima. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and secure at Second Home. Lilian and Luis were very welcoming and helpful in arranging airport transfers and letting me leave my luggage while I was out all day on a tour during my final day in Lima.
I would happily stay at Second Home Peru again - it's a unique hidden gem and the perfect base for exploring the wonderful bohemian, stylish Barranco area.

We spent two very pleasant nights in this unique B&B in a garden view room (#1). The B&B is easy to reach (about 45 minutes by car from the airport) and is in a very convenient sea-side location in the center of Barranco, within walking distance of many very good restaurants, bars and shops.
The whole B&B and grounds are beautifully decorated with many different art pieces. Also the pool area is very beautiful and peaceful. The on-site artist studio is also very worthwhile visiting. And ocean views from the front garden are simply fantastic, with very nice sunsets as well.
Our room was very spacious (including small balcony) and nicely appointed with various art pieces. There was no airconditioning, but we did not miss as sleeping with open windows was perfectly fine and cool enough, and quiet as well. The bed was very comfortable, so we had very good sleeps.
Service in general was ok with most staff friendly and helpful, whereas breakfast was simple but ok too. For the room prices in this B&B you could expect a somewhat more luxurious breakfast though.
We certainly would consider staying at this B&B again when next in Lima.

The property has a special ambient culture seeking travelers like us enjoy. The location is great offering stunning sea views and having many restaurants nearby. The villa is a kind of Black Forrest architecture with many old furniture and the owners paintings inside. Many art and sculptures can be explored in the villa and the garden. Everything is very well maintained with a special charming touch. The wifi worked very well and we’d also been happy to find a heating radiator in the room as it was a chilly and raining day. The hosts are super nice answering our many questions. Overall I strongly recommend the Second Home Peru and the value for money was excellent.

When I booked this Bed and Breakfast, I knew it was going to be nice. After visiting it in person, my expectations were exceeded. Victor Delfin is truly talented and his personal artwork and finishing touches throughout the entire home is astounding. Combine that with the ocean views, breakfast on the patio, and fun pool experience...this place is truly magical. In addition to the scenery, artwork, location, and architecture - the staff is very friendly and attentive. After our four night stay, I left feeling as if I had gained not just an amazing experience but friends as well. Would love to visit again sometime. Highly recommend staying at Second Home Peru for anyone in the Lima area.

I wanted an artistic, safe, welcoming space by the ocean and Second Home was that and more. Picked up at the airport by their driver, and taken to a location in my favorite area of Peru, this property had friendly cats and cute dogs. Despite arriving at 5am, we were greeted warmly with fresh breakfast. Our suite overlooked the ocean, and our hosts, notably Luis were very accommodating. They helped us find every restaurant and attraction we could desire. I am so happy with this fun and lovely space.

100% recommendation for the utterly exquisite and charming Second home Peru. I have stayed in many beautiful places in my time and Second home is up there with my favourites. I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a 2 week trip to magical Peru. Second home is absolutely beautiful, tranquil, classy, stylish, wonderful rooms and grounds and very friendly, helpful staff. The photos do not fully do it justice, you must stay to see and feel the comfortable environment and feel the wonderful energy of this place. I stayed in the suite with an ocean view, which was gorgeous, light, airy, spacious, spotlessly clean and relaxing. The house itself is stunning, stylish and classy, with artwork everywhere by Mr Victor Delfin who I had the pleasure of meeting. I also had a tour of his gallery with his daughter Lillian. Mr Delfin is still working and the pieces of art are outstanding . Barranco is also a fabulous place to be, safe, friendly and ecletic. A very big thank you to all of the staff and to Carlos (Mr Delfin’s son) for his time and patience in sorting out my room when I had problems with my debit card and for his recommendations for places to visit and eat; and to Lillian for showing me the gallery. And to Luis who was an amazing host and the lovely lady who kindly cleaned the room and the young man who helped me with my bags. I have absolutely loved my stay here and I am very grateful to have had this extremely fabulous experience in Second home. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Really nice stay here. Staff were very helpful especially with arranging good value transport from the airport and for a separate trip. Apartment was pleasant and spacious with lots of outside space and a great view. Nice restaurants nearby.

The rooms need air conditioning, refrigerator, coffee/tea pot. The pool was ice cold and no pool chairs to sit on. The breakfast was very plain basic scrambled or fried egg, bread, and odd piece of fruit. The view is wonderful and was a good location. The room did have lots of ants and one roach that we found.

We spent one night here to end our 16 day Peru trip. Staff are friendly and helpful but there an awful lot of family members it seems living in this hotel so seems a bit busy at times!
The art is lovely and that includes the outdoor pieces as well. Views are good but not as accessible as you might think, the beach isn't that easy to get to and we were advised not to go too far along the southerly direction as its not safe beyond the 'fish market'. This put me off going to the beach at all!
Rooms are full of character and full of old pieces.
Some lo ely restaurants close by.
breakfast a bit disappointing, no choice and not filling enough. Other B&B's we stayed in Peru offered twice as much for the same money.

Second Home Peru is a wonderful place to stay! The hotel is in the best location, in the fun neighborhood of Barranco and close to excellent restaurants and street art. It's also right on the coast, so the views are unbelievable. The hotel is the home of artist Victor Delfin and features much of his artwork. You can even meet the artist in his studio. It was fun to wander through the hotel and look at it all, and one of the staff members told me that it's possible to book a tour of the art through the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable with all the amenities you need. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice, and the breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend staying at the hotel. The hotel offered taxi service from the airport, laundry, free wifi, cable tv (Netflix), free breakfast, and free luggage storage. There is a pool on the property as well.
