Very cozy and friendly place. Great location. Amazing hospitality. Kept put luggages whole day. Let us wait few hours in the lobby before our flight. Rooms are clean and relatively quit. A lot if good restaurants around. 15 min walk to the beach. Great price/hotel ratio.
Good place to stay. Staff was 100% in supportive. Professional football players recommend. If you’re staying in Lima, Casa Surat will not disappoint. Good location close to shopping and beach. Taxi drivers know the location well.
After reviewing the comments I decided to book at this hotel, because of the location, very close to Kenedy Park, but what a big mistake! I never found it clean, the rooms smell damp, there is no AC, they have a fan that makes a lot of noise and it is impossible to fall asleep. I was assigned a room on that second floor and the window opened directly to the lobby, the noise is too much. The breakfast is poor and the restaurant is very small. For that same price, you can find something much better and almost in the same location.
We stayed 1 night. According to TripAdvisor, it is 9 miles from the airport. It took our cabbie an hour to get there from the airport at 230 in the afternoon on a tuesday. The very early weds am trip back to airport took 30 mins with zero traffic. Basic room. No heat and the wall mounted fan sounds like a jet engine, even on the lowest setting. Wifi worked only in the lobby. They do provide a desktop computer for guest use.
Friendly staff and interesting decor for hotel. Rooms ok but can be a bit noisy. space for continental breakfast is a bit small, especially if there are more then two people getting food. Food itself is very good, just cramped quarters getting it.
Nice old style heritage type hotel close to Kennedy park in Miraflores which i liked with some historical decorations inside, clean new style bathroom, firm comfortable queen bed, free wifi, only a 15min walk down to Larcomar shopping mall overlooking the ocean, reception was friendly helpful, i will stay here again great location & competitive pricing
Centrally located in Miraflores. Very close to Kennedy Park (cat park). Nicely decorated. When you are in the open area inside the hotel, it's nice and cool, even if it is hot outside. Room 104 where we stayed is quite stuffy. A room in the second or third floor would be better. There was urine stain in the toilet seat. The trash can in the room is very small. The towels were grey - we have never seen hotel towels so grey. Bed didn't feel freshly made. It felt itchy. The breakfast was lacking - the sausages and ham did not taste like meat. Coffee was very weak. Wifi was good.
This is a good hotel, the staff were friendly, helped us with directions to various places and gave us a loan of a Metro card for the bus. We asked to move rooms after the first night due to some loud music and the staff were happy to help. The hotel also looked after our bags when we went on a tour. The downside is the breakfast; there needs to be more of it. We were there around 8:30am and it seemed they were running out of food as the hot options were gone. A toaster would also be good for the bread, and the breakfast room is a little small to accommodate all of the guests. Having said that, they gave us some bread, butter and jam when were leaving very early one morning on a tour. Air conditioning would also help but overall a nice place, in a great location and I would return again. …
I have no idea how this place got such good reviews....there are no blankets on the beds, bugs in the bathroom, and no A/C but a deafening fan that makes it impossible to sleep. The desk attendant was mentally incapacitated, and unable to check us out, we chose to stay one night instead of the three we booked because the room was so horrendous. After 2 hours of arguing with him and multiple calls to the manager and finally booking.com, we were able to leave having only paid for the night we stayed. This place is filthy, the staff rude and completely disinterested in customer service, and wasted my entire first day in Lima. I switched to the Arawi Hotel in Miraflores which was fabulous. The management at Suyay was HORRIFIC. I can’t believe this hotel is in business.
We stayed in this hotel for our visit to Lima and were absolutely satisfied! The location is perfect near Plaza Kennedy in the center of Miraflores. A lot of restaurants are located nearby. The staff is very firendly, the rooms are nice and tidy. Also the hotel has a realy amazing atmosphere. Breakfeast buffet is very good and fresh. A stay here is highly recommended.
