I was a little bit disappointed with the small bath tub that came with the room size because it was a suite just for two. I was highly impressed with the water pressure in the shower, very powerful and felt so good. The bathroom amenities were a bit shocking because they only offered us bath facial bar of soap, shampoo and conditioner daily. I was surprised that they never offered hand and body lotion but again, yes i would stay there again and recommend friends or relatives. Our bed mattress was just a little too soft so we experienced a little body ache each morning.

I am a big fan of 5 star boutique hotels, and this property did the trick. The location is amazing and very safe, you can walk out at any time of night and have dozens of restaurants, bars and shops within a 10 block radius. I always went out of my way to walk through the park as it is so peaceful and beautiful. I am already coming back to this hotel in April

My wife and I recently spent about 10 days in Lima and stayed at the Hotel Suites Del Bosque. What a peasant surprise when we arrived. Our first impression was of a boutique style hotel as we entered the lobby. (It was about 4 in the morning!) But it is actually a 12 story hotel that features very large apartment like suites. Some reviewers complained about the age of the hotel and rooms, the street noise, etc. Please don't let that discourage you from staying here. Yes, it is an older hotel, but it is very well maintained. It almost has a colonial feel to it. As far as street noise is concerned, it does face a busy street. We were on the 6th floor and couldn't have been bothered with it. You must realize that you are in a city of ten million people! Lima is larger than New York City! You will hear traffic noise at a nice hotel in Manhattem as well! While exploring around the city we saw the location of the JW Marriot hotel. It faces a freeway!! So please, no more complaints about traffic noise. We can go on and about this hotel. The staff, including the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, servers, etc., was outstanding. We've traveled around Latin America before and the service everywhere in this part of the world is simply over the top. And it is not a show. They are very service oriented people. As an example, we wanted to get to a restaurant on the sea front. After explaining this to Maria on the reception desk, she phoned the restaurant, made a reservation, gave us a voucher for complimentary welcome drinks (what??), called us a cab and told us about what we should pay to get there. All with a beautiful smile! Yeah, we love this place! Each morning a full breakfast is included with your stay. Again, over the top! Hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, tons of fresh fruit, bacon, potatoes, sandwiches, cold cuts, cheese, etc. A beautiful spread. They have a sister hotel across the street, Plaza Del Bosque, which has a very good restaurant for dinner. We went there a couple of times. Most travelers to Lima stay in Mira Flores but we chose this one in San Isidro, which is the district just above Mira Flores. It's sort of off the beaten path, yet just a few minutes by taxi from anywhere you would want to go. It just may be the best kept secret in San Isidro, Lima. Also, kudos to Liliana Nakasoto, the reservation manager, whom we corresponded with directly on more than one ocaisson to clear up some arrival details. She was brilliant. Thank you Lilliana and everyone at the Hotel Suites Del Bosque! We really love you all for taking such good care of us!

We stayed here for 3 nights before starting our 3 week tour to Cusco and Machu Picchu. Not inexpensive, but far cheaper than in downtown Lima. Good service—doorman called us reputable taxis, hotel staff accommodating. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and clean. Nice buffet breakfast with lots of options. Only negative for me was the perfumed deodorizer they sprayed in the hallways, which was most unpleasant. Would recommend

This hotel is pretty old and filthy. We booked a junior suite for about $185 for 3 people for one(1) night - I wouldn't say that's cheap since our friends booked a similar room from a different hotel and paid less than what we did, and they got a nice modern and clean room for that. The room had 1 king size bed and 1 pull out couch for 3 people. The interior of the room is outdated. The bed and all the other furnitures looked like it was from the 70s. The couch looks nasty and has stains all over. The bathroom handles and tiles had molds growing on them. In addition, the hotel staff is not very accommodating, the emergency door is wide open from the elevator lobby of our floor, which means pollution, mosquitoes, etc. are coming in the hotel. Pretty much everything about this hotel is pretty sad. In fact, the only reason why we booked this hotel is due to it's walking distance from Astrid Y Gaston. I will not book this hotel again. I think that their sister hotel across the street (Plaza del Bosque Hotel) is more updated and clean, it cost more but I would rather pay for quality.
