An excellent hotel with outstanding service. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The pool was great with a nice view and the executive lounge food was so good, no need to buy dinner as the meals were so good. I've never been in a better lounge. Would highly recommend.

If you are looking to stay in Miraflores near Larcomar, this is THE hotel to stay at. Yes, you have to go to the 4th floor for check-in, but the hotel is in great shape, the views are amazing, and you are within a mile of pretty much anything you'd want to do in the Miraflores area. The lounge is closed, but they tried to make up for it, and the breakfast was great! Location: Perfect location, amazing water views (if its not foggy), and walkable to pretty much everything, including a nice outdoor mall. Platinum Recognition: I have multiple rooms that received nice upgrades (though technically not to suites....)! There was a great welcome gift. As good as you can expect! Cleanliness: 5*s Service: Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We used housekeeping and they were quick and flawless. The app worked great for communication with staff. Rooms: The high floor ocean view rooms are great....amazing views and very nice, modern rooms with outlets. Breakfast: It was all cooked to order, and had some of the best french toast i've ever had! You could get as much as you want, and it was all fresh and delicious. There isn't much more you could ask for during COVID times. Final Notes: It's definitely got a business feel too it, but its great for tourists also. If you are looking to stay in Miraflores as a Marriott member, this is the hotel to stay at.

Stayed at the JW Marriott Lima Peru for one night September 2021. Hotel lobby is under construction and currently closed. You take an elevator from an area downstairs in the lobby of a shopping center with lots of duct tape holding the carpet down. Arriving on the 4th floor they have set up some office furniture in the hallway of the convention room floor for check in. Staff was not very friendly or at all helpful during my stay. I felt like I was an inconvience to be felt with at every interaction. So. Main restaurant closed. Pool, spa, bar, concierge lounge all closed. This is not due to covid because in Peru for three weeks all at other outstanding Marriott hotels with none of this. Room was clean and modern with a great ocean view. Mall across the street was a good place to get drinks, snacks, supplies. My opinion is that until this hotel can get it's facilities and staff at least back to a two star situation look elsewhere.

i stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, at my arrival I was greeted very well, and as a platinum elite member i was given the upgrades of the stay. even without the perks, the Hotel is very comfortable, well kept and is under some renovation in the olobby area and others. even under renovation the hotel is great, I traveled through the world, and I always book a Marriott hotel, I am very pleased for the attention of room service as of the staff in the reception area, specially Maritza, she was so professional, and caring. they take all the precaution for covid 19 and the executive club was prefect for some little meeting for business i had, and i was able to use the computer and printer there. they dont offer any food there but they offer, teas, coffees hot water and cold water . I tried to book a new reservation in the same hotel but i was not able to come to terms in some details, nevertheless i end up in a another hotel Marriott hotel which was great, I have to say that JW Marriott in Miraflores is a very good choice. the personal there is very well prepared and i recommend this hotel, i will go back with my husband and use this hotel in a near future.

the given rating and comments are based on JW worldwide standard I must clarify. Reception Staff mostly are very friendly and curteous and no problems with English language. They are also welcoming. It is understood that some of services would be affected by the fact that the main reception/lobby ground floor is under renovation and that you have to enter the hotel through the neighbour Galleria entrance, so I will not address any issues that may be affected by that. Room Utilties : as in some previous reviews, very dark rooms due to obvious lack of proper light quantity and locations. away from the bed no enough light sources (how a JW hotel has such mistake ?). Very much Exagerated covid safety measures after almost two years of epidemic, only reasons might be laziness to adapt and find better way to introduce safety without affecting comfort or to take it as execuse to save cost, for example all papers, pens, mini bar items, many other items removed from room which very much affects comfort, no other country or hotel still do such things. No heating in room in a country which can get cold nights and in hotel immediately on pacific ocean with all windy cold nights, I checked with reception they told doesn't exist and the control system can only serve as AC. Refiregerator was faulty throughout the stay (room 1403) Aweful breakfast experience : Not all staff at breakfast can understand and speak proper English. Add to that the hotel still adopt policy of cancelling the buffet and taking your order like la carte and if you need more or other variety you have to ask, something which belongs to very early stages of the epidemic and hotels around the world already passed that stage and even if we agree with that policy, they bring very little portions of anything which is really making breakfast experience just tedious and frustrating to go through + they arrange the breakfast in almost empty massive dark ballroom with wooden floor, minimum lighting to save cost and they depend that sun MIGHT illuminate the place at some hours, and with only scattered tables and chairs and nothing else which doesn't give the feel of JW comfort or elegance. you may find some photos of the arrangement in the other travellers' photos. Strange incident which revealed the true level of training of some staff : I was outside hotel, the don't disturb sign was on my room, when came back the sign still there but apparently some staff has already entered my room and put a bucket of ice on the table which I didn't order, and even if I order any service in proper hotel, staff will not come in if don't disturb sign on the door, they will ask guest service to call the room instead. Anyway, that was strange enough, but after about two hours it got even stranger, the phone rang and staff from guest services or reception called the room "sir, have you found ice bucket in your room", answered "yes, but I didn't order it", staff "yes, but have you found an ice bucket ?", answred "yes", staff "ok, thanks" and hanged up without any clarification or apology !!!!!
