Just stayed at the JW and had a great short 2 night stay. The mall is open across the street and was 100% open (a lot of food $ shopping options). The hotel and staff were incredible. The last day we got down to the restaurant (4th floor now) at 6:30am for breakfast (were in a hurry to get to the airport early to catch flight to Cusco). Julio was awesome. He (our waiter) got our full breakfast and our check to us in under 15 minutes. Also Fabiola at the front desk was amazing. We checked out right before breakfast & I inquired about a car, taxi or Uber to the airport and she said the hotel car service was $55 (USD) but I could also take a taxi. I said I would Uber. Then while eating she was able to get us a taxi for the same price as Uber (50 soles or $13 dollars) and he was waiting for us exactly at 6:50am. Got to the airport in 30 minutes and it was incredible service. Also warning on Uber going to the airport—They were checking drivers credentials going into the airport so if your Uber driver doesn’t have the right papers you may have to walk a bit if you are not in a hotel car or a taxi. Overall fantastic experience at the JW. As a platinum we got upgraded to a exec-2 room suite in the 22nd floor. Highly recommended property.

We spent three days at the JW in Lima and it was fantastic. Renzo at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. We got a beautiful titanium upgrade to a gorgeous suite that overlooked the city and the ocean. The weather this time of year was constantly cloudy and foggy but we still enjoyed the lovely location and the view we had. The suite was huge, comfortable, well appointed and clean. What more could you ask? As part of our package, we received free breakfast which was wonderful. Since Covid, buffets are a thing of the past but we had table service that was excellent and we were offered whatever we wanted from the menu. Food was good and service was great. We loved this hotel so much that when America's worst airline (American Airlines) canceled our flights twice, and we had to stay an extra night in Peru, we came back to the JW even though it's not particularly close to the airport. Great service encourages repeat business so that's why we came back. We'll come back every time we're in Lima.

Two different visits to this hotel in the last month and a half. This hotel is the first Marriott that I have run into that does not extend the free breakfast, room upgrade or executive suite to Titanium Ellite on business. Instead act like they would rather I not be there even though I am still spending my own money on amenities. I do stay there with an airline. I guess airlines do not pay the same rate as other corporations. This does not change the fact that I have spent MY OWN MONEY to become Elite. Can Marriott say the same about all business travelers? What this means is I have spent my own money on my time and I also stay when the airlines put me there. I spend money on my layovers too. I don't understand why the JW in Lima acts like I am a leaper when the Sheraton in Rio rolls out the red carpet. 1000 points just for checking in, free breakfast everyday and full executive club benefits. Not only do other hotels in Bonvoy treat me well on a layover but I just stayed in a Hilton for work in Sao Paulo and they gave me free breakfast to match Marriott and try to gain my business. I know that Marriott counts on my loyalty to them since I have spent years gaining lifetime status. I will stick it out through this year to gain the life time status but then I am free to move on with my 75-100 personal nights in a hotel per year. I wont spend another dime in the Jw Marriott hotel in Lima. Terrible treatment.

Room Tip: Corners rooms are not great. They recycle them to airline employees they are so bad.

We had lunch recently at the restaurant in the Marriott for our 3rd anniversary. The waiter took the time to converse with us and when we told him we were celebrating our anniversary he went above and beyond to make it extra special. He even gave us a hand written card from the staff and a little courtesy dessert at the end.

Very spacious rooms, ocean view, great location. Best breakfast selection and service! Everyone was so welcoming, the front desk even remembered my name and said hi every time I walked by. Very happy with my stay.
