The room was clean , we had hot water.Bed was like sleeping on a board. The staff were very helpful, did not speak English. That would be our problem not theirs. WIFI not consistent.Walls are thin so I can hear the tv's that seem to be required to be loud at all times when on,not just the hotel but everywhere. A little nervous in the neighborhood.Appeared to be some prostitution going on the street.

My stay at the hotel was a surprisingly good experience. Since I do not speak very much Spanish I was surprised the owner speaks English very well. They made my stay comfortable and all my request were met with no trouble. The room was clean and bright.

Hotel owner, Neils, was one of the nicest people I have met. He printed off maps of local attractions, walked me and some friends down the street to point is in the right direction, borrowed me an outlet adapter, and cooked me a delicious full breakfast himself for no extra charge in the morning! The hotel is located a couple blocks from San Martin, a very beautiful square bordered on all sides by gigantic colonial buildings. Some friends met me at the hotel and we found an awesome bar at the penthouse level of one of the buildings and listened to a live Peru rock band until 4AM! However I rented a single room and it was very small and no TV. If you are looking to save money and be in the less touristy area, this would be ideal for you. Miraflores is the same as being in any city in the U.S.
