This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in the city and one of the more memorable places in Peru. Right by the river, away from traffic noise, and in a wonderfully-restored old house it gets the balance between comfort and character just right. Our room was huge, the service was good, the pool was welcome in the heat and... More

The grandeur of the building along with the massive rooms (double ceiling height) make this a unique place to stay. It's also fairly near the main square so location is good. We did experience some noise from the boulevard on Saturday night but it had pretty much died down by midnight. Some previous reviewers have commented about the furniture but... More

When we first checked in in the evening we met with an absolutely awful front desk staff obviously not willing to accomodate any special requests, answer any questions or even help with our luggage. I had the impression they were not happy to have guests period. The next morning it was literally like night and day, with a very professional,... More

This hotel is surprisingly comfortable. You feel like you are sleeping in a museum as all the rooms have been restored to the way they were originally. Breakfast was fairly normal. But it was extremely relaxing staying there.

Big comfortable rooms, English spoken, nice design, clean, good breakfast, great location, nice and helpful staff, safe, hot water... I asked the staff if I could stay in my room a few hours after checkout to relax before my flight that evening and they checked to see if it was booked, it wasn't so they let me stay a bit... More

The rooms in Casa Morey are huge with very effective air-conditioning: a must in the heat of Iquitos. The bathrooms are simple but clean: a second must in what is essentially a very dirty city. The breakfasts were simple fare but served in an elegant atmosphere. Whatever may have been somewhat disappointing was totally outweighed by the attentive and caring... More

This was a special treat for a special person since have a residence in Iquitos. We were a late arrival and the greeting was lovely, the rooms were elegant and huge, adorned with absolutely amazing European ceramic tile and magnificent wood carved furniture, also likely European and excellent paintings of Amazon themes all around, even in the rooms. They offer... More

Although we did not spend the night at this hotel they were very good to us and accommodating and therefore deserve a review! We came back into Iquitos from our jungle lodge location in the morning that day and our flight did not leave until late at night. They allowed us to store our backpacks and things we did not... We spent one night here in an enormous room. This hotel has great potential, but needs a bit of money spent on it. There is free wifi, complimentary breakfast that is OK, and very friendly staff. Unlike others our hot water was a bit hit and miss, but overall the hotel is good for the price. sadly it could be... More

Large rooms, great AC, friendly staff, clean, and decent complimentary breakfast, small pool and great location. Don't expect luxury or Iquitos to be a designation vacation. City is dirty and poor, but the best city to venture into the jungle.
