Stayed here for a night. Room was big and clean and we had a great view. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but you can find a good breakfast out. The AC worked wonderfully. There seemed to be a bar on the first floor.
Nice looking hotel by the port. Staff very nice and friendly. Very disappointed with breakfast... pretty terrible to be honest, some dry bread, jam... the smallest bit of butter you have ever seen... shame because apart from that was really good.More

We spent two nights here so we could get a small taste of the Amazon. Our trip wasn't long enough to stay in a lodge so we decided to at least stay on the water. We had a wonderful view and really enjoyed our stay...More

Hi Michelle August is the "less rainy" season in Iquitos. prepare for hot and sunny weather with short periods of rain. The rain part may or may not happen. you will need a hat, some mosquito repellent and a little rain poncho that you can carry with you in your bag. beyond that, what to pack would depend on how long are you planning to stay and what kind of activities you will be doing. if you are going in the forest you will need comfortable hiking boots, long pants preferably light material. it is a good idea to have a bottle of water with you. If you have light skin bring a little bottle of sun lotion. in the Cauchero the wifi signal was OK. you will have phone signal as well. They have AC in the rooms...
I hope this helps.
enjoy your trip
