This was my first time staying in a hostel. Before I arrived I vowed never to stay in a hostel, this place changed my mind. It has air conditioning, separate rooms with your own bathroom and hot water. It was clean with towels provided.

I stayed here several weeks while in Iquitos, nice hotel, pretty clean, lots of art, friendly people…Need a hot shower? I have missed them, La Casona has hot water! Good wifi, great location, close to Plaza de Armas. There is a variety of rooms, doubles, maybe a triple, a/c, fans, even a honey moon suite. You won’t be sorry you checked this one out

They messed up my airport pick up thé driver was delayed and got harassed by all the drivers at the airport. He showed up at the end late when everyone from that flight already left the plane.
My room was downstairs and the staff was not at all respectful they were sitting on the couch outside my door and speaking loud and watching videos on their phone in the evening and morning.
The worst part is the morning they started banging the floor before 8am as they had some maintenance to do with tiles.. unprofessional team..

Budget hotel, very basic, but clean and convenient. No breakfast, drinks or food of any description. No windows in the room, which I found a little depressing. Nice courtyard, where you can meet other people. A decent no frills place to stay.

Wonderful staff.. Inexpensive. I paid 40 soles for my own room with own shower+toilet and air fans. (no aircon in my room). I left my things in my room and nothing ever went missing. Recieved fresh towels everyday. There is a kitchen and a shared fridge where on can prepare meals. Nice outdoor patio area for socialising with fellow travellers. Basic, beautiful and all I needed. The internet was really slow (but this is an Iquitos related problem it seems, although Internet cafe's speeds are faster)

I stayed at La Casona out of convenience though I would normally stay at a higher end property. La Casona is clean and affordable but the noise from slamming doors and other guests is very distracting at all hours. There was no detectable hot water and cigar and cigarette smoke drifted into my room from the exterior smoking areas. Also they advertise a pool but that pool is at another property 8 blocks away. Overall La Casona is not a

If you are looking for a really nice hostel, then this is your place. It has all of the elements of the hostel it used to be - shared kitchen, refrigerator, coffee station, communal sitting areas but somewhere along the way they started calling themselves a hotel. Some of the hotel features might be that you don’t share your room except with who you come with, but otherwise this is a hostel is every sense of the word.
Fun, funky vibe. Nice staff but then Peruvians are awesome people anyway and they offer a little breakfast for 7 solas (about $2.25 in USD) which includes a bowl of fruit, juice, coffee, bread, butter and jam.
You can choose between an air conditioned room or non depending on your preference and/or budget and there are rooms that offer three beds as well.

This hotel is located just off Plaza de Armas, the most tourist friendly area that we found in Iquitos. The staff is super friendly, speak english and the rooms are nicer and feel safer than some others we've stayed in around the area. They have a cool courtyard area and really good WiFi throughout the grounds and different floors.

Quite a large hostel. Need to pay Pay more for an ac room. Room was fine though noisy on Saturday night with club next door and lights on outside the room.
Staff fine.
Hotel nice decor and seating areas. Breakfast was extra and simple so we went to the multiple places in town (dawn on the Amazon was our favourite)
