We stayed at El Mariscal for three nights total, two before a trek to Machu Picchu and one night when we got back. The location is great. A close walk to the Plaza de Armas and the downtown sights of Cusco and easy to walk out and grab a cab to anywhere else you'd need to go. The rooms were... More

We were two couples and stayed in two of the quad rooms (not sure if they have more of them). Elizabeth, her husband and staff do a top-notch job making you feel at home: From the greeting at the secure door, to the yummy breakfasts, clean sheets everyday, and hot water and tea delivered to our room upon request. *The... Unlike most the reviews posted, we personally did not care at all about what turned out to be a modified house located in a residential street of the San Blas district . As we did find out few street down there are much nicer options available. We arrived late at night and unique to this place in our trip throughout... More

The owner of this hotel is very kind and makes sure that you are comfortable in every way. The room was always cleaned and there were fresh towels every day as well as a freshly cooked breakfast each morning. It was very good especially for the price.

We stayed five nights at El Mariscal. The staff was very helpful and even provided oxygen with we needed due to the height. Downtown is an about 10-15 minutes walk. I'm only giving a 4 out of 5 rating because * the rooms we were staying in had no windows to the outside and * you can hear other guests... More

Really good option in Cusco! An amazing hotel! We picked a room for 4 people. It was really clean and fresh! The breakfast was really good! Different every day! With bread and salad fruit! Once we had omelet, on the other day pancakes! The staff is amazing! Really nice, they opened us the door at 5 am, and our reservation... More

We ran away from a poor-value, dirty hotel straight into the arms of El Mariscal, so our experience may be a little bias! But we loved El Mariscal. The quilts on the bed, the mini kitchen, and the bright courtyard type areas were the highlights for us! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us coffee around 4am for... More

The staff at El Mariscal were very professional and friendly. The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the room was spacious and comfortable. You have to ring the bell at the front door to be let in at all times which makes it very secure. There was not a choice at breakfast but it was adequate and different... More

The hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the main square, very good location. The staff could not have been more helpful, they happily looked after our luggage whilst we went off on the Inca Trail for 4 days, also carefully looked after my I Pad and breakable presents! Yes ear plugs would be good if you're a... More
