Travelers' Choice
First Relais & Châteaux property in Peru, an exquisite 16th century colonial manor, located just steps away from the picturesque main square. Once occupied by the conquistadors of Peru, it is now an exclusive boutique hotel that has been carefully restored to retain its historical heritage and décor. With suites set around a Spanish courtyard, the manor offers sober elegance without sacrificing authenticity.

From the heated floors in our room, to a special surprise with our turn down service (I won't ruin it for others) to the fabulous meals, this place is one of the best places I have stayed any place in the world. The service is incredible; in fact, one of the staff members walked us to a special restaurant a few blocks away to make sure we could find the location. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Doubtlessly the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Peru. It offers perfect attention and the rooms as well as the entire building are magical. It is well-located too. Definitely top class hotel I would recommend to people who appreciate small details and luxury.

I visited this place in February, what an excellent place, ideal to have a magical stay and in a private place, the best attention, if you go to Inkaterra, ask for Jorge the bell boy, who was attentive to any detail, and who had a solution to any problem we had, the food also very good, I hope to return to Peru

I don't say this lightly, this has been the best hotel we have ever stayed out - and it's for a multitude of reasons. We booked this hotel as our before and after stay while acclimating to altitude in Cusco before hiking the Inka Trail and then afterwards to relax from the trek. It was perfect. 1. Extremely private and quiet, off a less "touristy" square. 2. Service, above and beyond. From the small touches of remembering our names, taking care of any appointments we had scheduled, and packing us a small lunch on the day we left for our Trek - it made such an impact on us and added a level of personal attention that we greatly enjoyed and appreciated. 3. The hotel itself is BEAUTIFUL. It is a historic space, small and intimate, and extremely comfortable. We slept great and enjoyed spending time in the room. 4. The restaurant is very good, and was perfect for our trip with all the activities we had planned. It's a private restaurant for hotel guests only so it was never crowded or loud. Service, also top notch. 5. Rooms are large, luxurious and worth the price. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. It has set the bar very high for future hotels.

We stayed at the wonderful facility going to and coming from Machu Picchu. The hotel is a top class facility with extraordinary service. The hotel and courtyards are beautiful and the rooms very well appointed. It feels at times like you are sleeping in a museum given all the art and sculpture throughout the hotel. If you are in Cusco and are looking for a place to stay, look no further than the Inkaterra. You will not be disappointed.
