Yes, they have phones in the rooms. The front desk person may or may not be proficient in English. However I never had problem talking to them. Overall it is not an issue the US cell phones work there.

Around 20 steps is correct from the Plaza San Blas where cars can stop and park (little). If you start from the centre of Cusco you have another steep climb to the Plaza san Blas. Cars are not alowed in the narrow street... More

We did it with an excursion to Pisac and Ollantaytambo. There we left the excursion and took the train to Aguas Calientes. You can do it also with a taxi from Cuzco to Ollantaytambo. Not that expensive (around 25... More
