Breakfast was awful......never enough food for the number of guests, each day it was a different version of eggs.....power outage one night but they did give us a to-shirt for the inconvenience......my knees hit the wall when sitting on the toliet! Most disappointing.

I was here on an educational tour.. What a nice Hotel. The area it was located at was great. A creek, little shops and restaurants. There was also a natural hot springs.
Food served in the restaurant was also very good.
Would definitely stay again.

Hotel Wiracocha is perfectly located, as it´s just a 5 minute walk from the main Plaza de Armes. We stayed here after completing our Inca Trail hike as we had read that the place was a little haven, and we certainly needed that!

A bit of a mixed bag overall. The hotel itself is really nice, however our bathroom was in a poor state and the shower broke on the first day (literally fell to pieces), however they quickly fixed it. The main downside was the service. Comments as follows,

Bad points
- No response to 2 reservation requests through website
- Staff spoke little English and were not very eager to assist
- Had to wait ages for a mere jug of hot water to room (first time luke warm and second time they forgot!)
- Website stated transfer to and from hotel, together with eggs at breakfast all included in the price of room, however they were adament that they weren´t until I showed them on their own website!
- Heaters for room are only available at an extra cost of 10 Soles per night
- Poor bathroom quality
- Noise all night from hostal at rear of hotel
- Very slow breakfast service (allow at least 40 mins if you want anything but bread and jam)
- Website states they accept VISA/MC etc, however you need to walk 5 mins to sister hotel to use the machine!

Good points
- Unbeatable location
- Great decoration and really authentic feel
- Lovely inner courtyard
- Amazing sense of tranquility within inner courtyard despite being within busiest district

This hotel is in a great location (5 minutes from Plaza de Armas), but there were a few problems. The promised hot water NEVER materialised and other guests also found it erratic - maybe it works better in some rooms than others. The staff promised a heater because the room and outside temperature were cold but it never turned up, despite asking 3 times. On the second day there was no bread for the included breakfast - although they still brought the butter and jam with nothing to put it on! We had to accept the offer of some bread from the people on the next table - we were about to start the Inca trail and needed something inside us! Our window would not shut properly so the noise from the busy road outside was constant (also not good for security).
On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
This feels like a tired hotel that could be fantastic with some better staff (the building itself is really nice - high ceilings with wooden beams etc), better food ordering and a cash injection to sort out the faded decor and fit the windows properly. We got a good deal from a tout so we only paid 25 USD a night, but we got a much better place for the same price when we stayed at Loki hostel after our trek!
PLEASE ALSO NOTE - there is also a hotel by this name in Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu, so these reviews are all a bit mixed up. There is no calming stream or swimming pool at this address in central Cusco!

This was by far the best place I stayed at during my entire trip to Peru; clean, affordable, hot showers. I'm surprised that it's only a "2-star" hotel.

The staff was up at the crack of dawn (4:30 a.m.) with breakfast ready for those beginning their bus journey or hike up to Machu Picchu.

The best part? Falling soundly asleep like a babe to the Andean creek right outside my window. For that alone, there is no other place you should stay at.
