We were in room 306 and it had a private balcony over looking the courtyard. Hotel staff were nice and friendly. Close to Cusco's attractions. Breakfast us included with the room and also free WiFi. Nice place to stay when you find yourself in Cusco, Peru.

My two friends and I stayed at the Amaru II Hostal for a few days before embarking on the 4 day Inca Trail trek. First of all, finding rooms for 3 is very tricky, and Amaru had them! Less fortuitously, the airline lost my friend's backpack (which had ALL of her gear for the trek save her boots and the... More

Were received late at night after our Inca trail / Machu Picchu experience. Luggage was without problems moved from our previous hotel, Amaru I in Cusco. Nice and clean rooms. A pity we couldn't stay longer! Nice location in 'artistic' area of Cusco but still close to city center and restaurants

A great little hotel just on the edge of the heart of Cusco. Really nice rooms and lovely staff who were always cheerful and helpful. Nice and quiet too. A short walk down the hill to the Plaza de Armas meant everything was close and easy to find.

This hotel is very clean and safe. Staff are friendly and helpful. Short walk into town square. Sourounding streets can be noisy but so can all of Peru. Breakfast was great. Fresh bread and scrambled eggs yum.

I liked pretty much everything about this charming hotel. The rooms are nice, the staff are friendly and the views are good. The daily breakfast was also a hit. The free wifi was a little hit and miss, but I can't really fault the hotel otherwise. The location was good too; walking distance from the main square and many shops,... More

Coming from Lima and struggling with the thin oxygen level, staying in Amaru would not be a big help. We were greeted by their friendly staff who were all so willing to help with our luggages but the way to the rooms was quite a struggle too as we had to take the stairs. They could add a water heater... More

After several days trekking by foot to MP and back, we stayed our last night at Amaru. It was everything needed: a comfy bed, nice clean big bathroom and shower, great service and complimentary breakfast made to order and an amazing view of Cusco. We were completely satisfied and had a great evening celebrating our last night in Peru! Thank... More

It was a fine hotel for its price but prospective guests should be aware that it is a bit of a walk before any restaurant, shopping or any attraction. The distance is not that great but at such high altitude and on your first day in Cusco when walking uphill will be a real struggle, one would wish he booked... More
