Corihuasi is a superb, excellent-value choice for staying in Cusco, with a great location relative to the plaza, restaurants, and views. Ernesto the manager speaks excellent English and is very friendly, conscientious, and helpful. Some rooms have better views than others (#1 and 2 are best), and some rooms are up and down lots of steps, making it a bit...

I had been recommended Corihuasi by a friend who lives in Cusco--he says it is the only place he sends his friends, and I can see why. Corihuasi is a few minutes walk from Cusco's main square, and about 15 minutes from the airport by an inexpensive taxi. The rooms are clean, the showers are hot (not always found in...

I really did like this place. However, as someone who had some severe reactions to the altitude while there, I found it a very difficult place to stay at. First of all it is up a steep hill from the center. Easy to get down to the center, but going back up was difficult. Being on the hill, however, does...

My wife and our two teenagers stayed here before and after a trip to Aquas Caliente/Machu Pichu a couple weeks ago. The place is located only two blocks uphill along a cobblestone alley from the Plaza de Armes (makes for a slightly longer walk back at 10,000' altitude if you are from the flatlands), so makes for a convenient base...

Located up a steep hill (at 11,200' any hill is steep!) the Corihuasi has excellent service, great views from some rooms, a decent, filling breakfast-even when you have to catch the M.P. train at an early hour. They will send your laundry out or you can drop it off at a lavandería on the way to the Plaza. This is...

Charming & beautiful hotel. Decorated with lots of antiques. Great breakfast. The view from this hotel is amazing. Don't forget to take photos! Very nice and helpful staff. Good location but requires a steep walk up a hill. This could be tough if you haven't adjusted to the altitude. The rooms can be very cold during the winter season. Hotel...

The hotel is less than 5 minutes uphill walk from the Plaza de Armas so very convenient for everything. The staff are very friendly and if you are staying for more than a couple of nights, you should try and negotiate. We stayed for over ten days and loved it. The rooms overlooking the street you enter from are only...

We relocated to Hostal Corihuasi as our friends were here and raving about this great place, five minutes walk up the hill. Hostel Corihuasi is wonderful - a large dining/sitting area with spectacular views of Cuzco and the surrounding mountains. The double rooms are lovely, again with great views of the city. As others have said, great breakfast (though keep...

We stayed there between Christmas and new years (2010). The experience was great! Cool views of the city; Quaint rooms; All utilities worked perfectly. The highlight of this place is their hospitality and breakfasts (eggs, bread and jelly, FRESHLY squeezed orange juice). The place is located just up hill from the Plaza de Armas, which is the place to be.
