This is a family hotel, managed by the couple Zenaida and Moisés. The hosts were very amiable and eager to make us feel at home, got us a heater when we needed one. Breakfast was fresh and good (they charge 1 sol extra for eggs). Rooms were spacious enough, beds were very comfortable and there was hot water (electric shower)....

If your aim is cheap, decent rooms then this is the spot. The couple that own Casa La Samblena are what makes the place, you won´t find nicer staff. They were nice enough to come with us via taxi to the bus station and organize our tickets entirely to La Paz, Bolivia as well as a tour to Lake Titicaca...

We stayed here for 2 days. One 5 hour stay as we had an excursion planned They were supposed to pick us up from the airport, but forgot... So we waited for 40 minutes before we took a taxi ourselves. The rooms were okay- what you expect for 25 dollars a night. The blankets were very nice. However it was...

After arriving in Cusco we picked the wrong hostel (I wont name names). After a brief search we got lucky and stumbled upon Casa La Samblena. The husband and wife team running the hotel were so kind and helpful taking care of all our valuables as we trekked for 4 days through the Andes. The hotel is clean, good value...

Location was excellent, right in the heart of San Blas. Close to The Meeting Place Cafe, Pantastico, Green Point, and many other great eateries. Breakfast was really nice, freshly made with eggs and juice. The family was lovely, very friendly, helpful, and eager to please. However... Noise, noise, noise!!! Dogs, roosters, crying babies, it was literally a cacophony of sounds...

Casa Sambleña offer tours but they don't organize them, they subcontract it to a tour operator (http://www.qorianka-tours.com/). The program published in Sambleña's website is not true and they don't take any responsability for the changes in the schedule or in case some problems occur during the tour. We had a really bad experience with our Lares trek tour (they forgot...

Cons and pros about this hostel: Cons: Very noisy. Crying baby, dogs barking and a loud rooster very early in the mornings. We were not told about the included breakfast, we found out by a coincidence our second morning. Stayed in a quadruple room in the back which was not well isolated and extremely cold. In the common bathrooms there...

Great little hostel if you don't mind keeping it basic, the hosts are simply lovely, warm and friendly. We had a large group of 17 and they even came and picked us up from the airport free of charge. Comfortable beds, warm showers and great location. Can be a little cold in the evenings.

What a wonderful hostel!! Our one and only complaint is the tiny kitchen, but the hostel is close to tons of cheap and delicious food options so it wasn't even a problem. Staff went above and beyond helping us, and organized our tours for us. We had one issue on the tour to Machu Picchu which was immediately solved when...

I stayed at Casa La Samblena for a couple nights on my way to Bolivia. The hostel is family run and has a cozy feel to it. Compared to other lodging in San Blas, La Samblena is quiet and comfortable. Getting a good night's rest will not be a problem. Although the rooms are basic, they are tidy and comfortable....
