Located only three blocks from the Plaza de Armas in the city of Cusco, El Balcon has a commanding view of the entire city, cathedrals, churches, mountains and the Ausangate glacier. El Balcon is a renovated colonial Casona that dates back to the 1630s built atop the preceding Inca terraces. Inca stone work and colonial balustrades mesh harmoniously around terraced gardens creating an atmosphere that is beautiful, historic and authentically Peruvian. Some of our amenities and services include free airport transportation, complimentary hot breakfast and buffet and laundry. We are happy to help with any travel arrangements so that our guests can experience the best that Cusco and the Sacred Valley have to offer. At El Balcon we strive to provide our guests with the highest level of hospitality so that they have all they need to feel comfortable at our family establishment. All room rates include 2 guests, additional guests will be an added charge.

Recently stayed here and was so impressed with the facility and the staff. Very clean rooms and excellent restaurant on site. They even do your laundry which was a plus after spending 4 days on the Salkanty trail.

Property's Favorite Review
We stayed at El Balcon for two nights (3 people, two rooms) and it was excellent. Very secure; friendly, helpful staff; lovely rooms and beds that are so comfortable; shower with good water pressure and hot water and pretty garden to sit in. It's only about a 7 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas (a bit more coming back because it's on a hill!). We also ate at the hotel one night and the food was excellent. All three of us had different main courses and we all agreed it was right up there with the best food we'd had in Peru ... and the food in Peru is very good. Highly recommended!

Everything about this hotel was perfect. It has a very traditional, personal feel to it. We stayed in 2 different rooms both were large, the beds comfy, there were bath robes, bottled water and complimentary fruits in the rooms. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms are all set around a lovely little garden where they grow herbs and vegetables. The restaurant is very welcoming with a roaring fire and a good menu. Breakfast was excellent - I loved the omelette freshly cooked for me with herbs and chard from their own garden. There was also plenty of fresh fruit and a selection of teas. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved our balcony suite with such a great view and even a little table to enjoy it. The view of the Cusco square and hills was lovely, especially at sunset. While not luxury service, we were serviced well. The inclusive breakfast was made to order along with a small buffet. It was a great value and you really felt you were enjoying the Andean culture.

Hotel El Balcón, a 7-minute walk from Cusco's Plaza de Armas, was perfect. It combines a rustic feel with comfort, excellent staff, and a restaurant that is cozy and serves yummy home-cooked food. Our room on the second floor had a panoramic view of the city and mountains from the balcony outside our door. The front desk staff is attentive and communicates well, both through advance emails and when you're at the hotel. They were helpful in arranging taxis and anything else we needed. The dining room has a small wood-burning stove in one corner and an open kitchen to the side, where they prepare home made pasta as well as traditional Peruvian dishes. Portions are generous, and everything tastes wonderfully home made.
