This hostel is a quick walk to the main Plaza which was great! (also opposite a spa where we got massages after our trek!) It is up a couple of steps, but not as difficult as some reviews make it out to be! Our room was huge, clean and comfortable. A little cold at night, but there was extra blankets... More

Girlfriend and I stayed a few nights here either side of our trek to Machu Picchu, and I can recommend it. It's in a great location, pretty central but it's up some steps so far enough away to mute most of the traffic noise. Rooms are really nice, but fairly cold (end of August - early September). Showers amazing - at... More

Two good things about the property: -fantastic staff -close proximity to Place des Armes Beware that this property is situated halfway up a very steep set of stone stairs. There is no road access so you will have to navigate your luggage up these stairs. And every time you come and do, you will have to deal with these stairs.... More

We booked this hostel by the reviews people were given it. But we found out that they had over booked and didn't have our reservation, even though we had our emails confirming the hotel. We were given a room despite the mix up, but you would figure if the temps drop around 30-25 degrees you would have heat? Or heaters... More

Our stay at Orquidea was wonderful! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was so welcoming! They really treated us like family and helped us however they could. Breakfast was provided every morning. Edu was so helpful in giving us tips on what to see in Cusco, and Eduardo had fantastic restaurant recommendations. It was a bit chilly... More

We booked Orquidea Real Hostal because we wanted a comfortable place to stay in Cusco, as we anticipated being sick from the altitude. Turns out, it had pretty much the same offerings of anywhere else half their price. Namely, I read reviews that people were given heaters, but we stayed there three nights, and I asked every night if they... More

Cozy hotel near Plaza de Armas. Close to supermarkets and restaurants. Very helpful staff arranged taxi for a day to go to the salt mines in Maras and Moray. Simple breakfast with a scrambled egg and some fruits. Rooms were (in late June) cold with no heater, so being warm clothes! We stored our backpacks here while we went to... More

Could not say enough nice things about the people who run this place. American Airlines lost our luggage for days and after days of AA customer service being clueless of our luggage location, Eduardo and Edu found our luggage at the Cusco airport. They communicated with the airport for an hour over the phone, called us cabs, and travelled with... More

The staff here is amazing. Eduardo and Edu were great about everything, the entire time, at a moments notice. They couldn't have been more friendly and the entire staff goes above and beyond to make everything about your stay as smooth and comfortable as possible. We arrived in Cusco at about 8am after having traveled about 16 hours. We were... More

Great homey, charming lodge in San Blas area of Cusco. Short walk to Plaza de Armas and all other places tourists enjoy. I took a cooking class and horseback trip to ruins while based here. Staff is very helpful; great recommendations from them. Goid breakfasts, too!
