The hotel is charming, with several secluded courtyards and well-appointed rooms. Every staff member was sincerely helpful and pleasant. It is a short (uphill) walk from the Plaza de Armas and several excellent restaurants are very close. Breakfast is your typical South American breakfast, with EGGS as you like them. The best things? It is QUIET at night and they have a fountain of filtered water, so you can refill your water bottle and avoid buying bottle after bottle. Hot water can be a challenge if the hotel is busy I suggest, when the hotel is full, shower at unusual times of the day to make sure you have plenty of hot water.

We loved staying here for our trip to Cusco, the rooms were clean and the staff was so friendly. They made accommodations for fair priced taxis to and from the airport, helped set up tours, Covid test on site, laundry- wow my clothes never felt and smelt so fresh especially after our 4 day hike to Machu Picchu. I can go on and on about this hotel. Easily walkable to all downtown areas. Great restaurants nearby. The breakfast is light with omlets and eggs to order, fresh cut fruit and bread but plenty to get your day started. Tea and coffee are always available. We took advantage of the spa and got a 60 minute massage for $40 USD, it was AMAZING and also used the sauna! The staff is always willing to help and answer questions. I always felt safe and comfortable while staying here. I will definitely stay here again for our next trip to Cusco. Thank you for such great hospitality!

I recently had the pleasure of staying in the lovely Rumi Punku Hotel in Cusco for 5 nights, 4 nights before our Salkantay Trek, and one night after. We booked a Superior Twin room, and it was excellent value for money. Our room was on the 4th floor, quiet, sunny, beautiful views! The Reception Staff were welcoming and courteous at all times. The Breakfast Buffet included a wonderful selection of fresh juices, breads, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, and eggs cooked to order. All areas of the Hotel were neat, clean, attractive. The bedding was divine…duvets, sheets, and an excellent mattress. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I ever returned.

The Rumi Punku is a wonderful place to stay in Cusco, Peru. We were there for a few days before our trek to Machu Picchu in order to get acclimatized to the higher altitude and stayed there afterwards as well. The place is very clean, well run, friendly, and helpful. This is a great place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were great. The hotel is also very well situated in Cusco, close to San Blas and its attractions and restaurants as well as being close to Plaza de Armas and the lively centre town places. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: The hotel is an open courtyard design and the noise may be a factor for some. Go for the top floor.

Spent 7 days at Rumi Punku and cannot recommend it enough. The place itself is nice and cute, with a ton of local character in the rooms and common areas. The courtyard in the middle of the hotel looks like it was ripped right out of the movie Encanto. The service was always excellent, and we always came back to clean rooms after a day of adventuring. The staff was very helpful and kind, and accommodated all of our needs. They have clean water and coca tea available at all times, with a nice breakfast buffet for guests every morning. The location cannot be beat, situated right between the Plaza de Armas and San Blas, with incredible views of the city. It is also a great pickup point for most excursion and tour companies. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the Hotel Rumi Punku in May 2022. It is a truly lovely hotel! The old INCA stone entrance leads into one of three inner courtyards that are lovely places to sit and relax. The rooms are large, attractive, well furnished with comfortable beds and are very clean. The hotel provides drinking water for refilling water bottles which is a very useful service. The breakfast was delicious. The location of the hotel was perfect. Very close to the main square and yet quiet. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. Jesus and Allan gave us great restaurant recommendations, helped with all our questions about Cusco, arranged for laundry service on a rush basis after our INCA trail adventure and even found a doctor to come to the hotel when one of us needed medical attention. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Cusco.

We stayed at Rumi Punku before and after our trip to Machu Picchu. The location was great, hotel was very nice, staff was terrific and breakfast was good. Within 5 minutes you are in the main square of Cusco and everything else was within walking distance. Water refill station was very much appreciated as was the availability of tea all day. Courtyards were intimate. Pleasant experience overall.

Beautiful hotel with attentive staff who made us feel very welcome. We arrived early in the day, tired and grubby, after an overnight bus journey. As our room was available we were able to check in straight away: we were very grateful for that! Excellent buffet breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit and juice. Can't praise it enough. Thank you.

The hotel is great. Great location, friendly staff and impeccable service. The reason for deducting two stars is the hotel's affiliated travel agency. This is a trap, the price is a lot higher than the market price, but the quality is not as good as others.
