We stayed here after being in Arequipa, where the hotel had been considerably nicer and the staff much friendlier. This hotel was a disappointment. The staff never smiled and always seemed as though they were reluctantly honoring even simple requests. The hot food on the breakfast buffet was always cold and there was no microwave provided. When I put my... More

Me and my partner had a wonderful experience at Emperador Plaza. The staff was very helpful and language was not a problem, although a knowledge of Spanish can come in very handy. Breakfast was not vast but included a variety of breads, preserves, cakes and fruits. The best thing about breakfast was the Coffee, extremely tasty, so tasty that its... More

My husband and I stayed here for a night before and another after going to Macchu Picchu. This stay was arranged a head of time by our Travel Agency in Arequipa. I must admit the location was simply excellent for getting around Cusco on both days and probably the only reason that we would elect to stay here ever again.... More

Excellent location for sightseeing in Cusco. Breakfast average. Our room was quite dark and we had to get the management to send someone up onto the roof and shake the gas canister everytime we wanted hot water.

The best thing about this hotel was the location- easy to get to the main square, museums, restaurants etc. Breakfast left much to be desired- however there was always a plentiful supply of coca tea in the lobby. The room was adequate, however there never seemed to be any hot water in the shower- it was literally freezing. There was... More

The location is amazing. I wish I could say that the hotel was amazing as well but I can't. The "luxury heated rooms" are freezing cold and include a broken space heater. There was no hot water or water pressure in the shower. No hair dryer soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Beds were uncomfortable and blankets thin. Did I... More

The overall hotel stay was ok ... no real complaints, and nothing to boast about. However the major dissappointment was the staff. Poor attitude, unhelpful, seemingly no desire for customer satisfaction. Other minor issues: 1) No elevator. Stairs are steep and narrow and the staff won't carry your luggage for you. 2) Most of the breakfast food (breads included) are... More

Booked 3 nights & again for 1 after our trek to Machu Picchu. Good basic rooms that met all our needs. Price was excellent for the location - 5 min walk to Plaza de Armas, convenience store & laundry just next door & one of the best restaurants (Cicciolina) in Cuzco just around the corner. Maria at the front desk... More

Stayed here with a tour - ended up booking an extra night online and paid a deposit. When I went to pay the remainder of what my invoice stated, the receptionist stated the price was incorrect and charged me extra, despite proof of the remaining charge. Also was not able to change the date of the hotel transfer that I... More

Hi, I am ~30yr old female - stayed here with a another girl on tour before starting the Inca Trail. I can't tell you how much it cost per night however, in my opinion, it would fall into the $80-$100 bracket depending on the time of year. Pros: -About 5mins walk to main square and everything else. -Rooftop with near-panoranic... More
