We stayed here before setting off for our Machu Picchu adventure. The hotel was lovely, great breakfast, location and staff. The rooms were tidy and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we visited.
It was a pleasure to discover this hotel, well located in the old part of Cusco. Charming old well-renovated building; clean rooms with simple furnishings; a delightful large courtyard. Very friendly, helpful staff, who made every effort to assure that we had a comfortable 4 day stay. We especially enjoyed the restaurant - low key atmosphere, a simple menu that included delicious vegetarian options, and again very friendly, efficient and helpful service.
We liked our room, the location and the courtyard. The hotel was an easy 15 minute walk to the main square (uphill going back but we didn't mind it). But, what made the hotel for me was the breakfast and restaurant night staff. The food was great and the service attentive. We loved our breakfasts (not included in the hotel price) and our servers A special thanks to Arturo!!! We rated the hotel a 4 instead of a 5 because the front desk staff was just OK..
A great place to stay, supporting a children project at the same time. Everything is o.k. over here, service complete, nice room in a beautifull building at a fair price. The breakfast is luxuous, do not order too much! One negative is the noise at night, you will hear the doorbell, people walking and talking over the square - be prepared with earplugs!
We stayed here for 2 nights, and everything was spotless. Staff is very friendly, helpful and good English speaking. Rooms are good and clean. The hotel has an amazing and peaceful inner court yard. Internet works super. Food from the cafe is super! And on top of all of this, the money goes to children in Peru!!
We had two very good nights in Ninos hotel meloc. The hotel is in a quiet street next to the main square. The rooms are arranged around a lovely courtyard, the whole place is set in a old heritage building. We had a double room with private bathroom. The room is comfy and very clean, maybe a bit cold (for us). The staff is super friendly and efficient. There is a cafe inside the hotel serving good breakfast. Overall we loved our stay. Adding to this, the project underpinning the place and it is a strong recommendation!!
Overall this is a great hotel, I stayed at both the Meloc and Fierro locations. Rooms are great for the price. Fierro street is a bit sketchy at night though. The staff is outstanding, super friendly and competent. For example, Cesar at Fierro was very helpful in getting me Ausangate information. Another desk person at Meloc (on the day shift), was super helpful in explaining to me how to mail books inside Peru. My main complaint is that they allow smoking in the courtyard which is horrible for us non-smokers. I was relaxing in the beautiful sunny courtyard at 14:00 when a dude sat down next to me and starting blowing huge clouds of vape smoke forcing me to leave the courtyard! And this was the very week when many vaping deaths were being reported in the US! That night at 22:00 a woman smoked 2 cigarettes in a row that flooded my first-floor room even though my window was closed. The staff was sympathetic to my complaints but could not change the rules. I *strongly* urge the management to disallow smoking in the courtyard as its a shared enclosed space. One last advice: make sure the tip jar is available for early morning departures!…
We had a room with just one bed so we shared a hall bathroom. It looks like if you have a family the larger rooms may have their own bathroom. It was ok. The food was great. Easy to get to everything by walking. I had earplugs because all the rooms face the courtyard. There is also a lot of light that comes in. It was quaint and a nice place to stay between hikes. They held our luggage as well.
This hotel was perfect. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and the staff was wonderful. When I arrived, I had just spent 4 days in the jungle and was not feeling too well. This hotel made me feel at home and comfortable. The decor is beautiful, the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are nice (great water pressure, cleanliness). It was the perfect place to reset before continuing my travels - I only wish I could have stayed longer. The restaurant was also delicious! A great added bonus - the pumpkin soup, breakfast and homemade breads were outstanding. The hotel also supports the underprivileged children of Peru/Cusco which was such a wonderful added bonus. I highly recommend this hotel - not only do they have a wonderful mission/story but they really know how to provide excellent service/stay.…
Hidden away on Calle Meloc, this hotel provides the traveller to Cusco everything they need. Comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff and a small restaurant. The courtyard is a great place to relax and reflect.
