I had just transported 15 of my family from London to Cusco early in the morning. (Yes transported is the right word for some of them) as we were touring Peru prior to my wedding in the north. We had stayed in a luxurious hotel in Lima but everyone was blown away by the beautiful hotel in Cusco with the... More

The hotel is conveniently located nearby the main square of Plaza de Armas. It's interior courtyard is lovely. But, beware it's a big hotel with old furniture and carpets. The worse point is the single bedroom. Small, oldish, with a view on the noisy airco wall, to avoid at all costs. Other rooms are more convenient; bathroom are fine. But... More

I stayed twice at this hotel before and after visiting Machu Pichu On the first occasion I was given a large room in the new section at the rear of the old building with a view of the mountains and a free welcome pisco sour. On the second stay I was given a small room with a double bed pushed... More

I just returned from a whirlwind trip of Peru, with three nights in this hotel, purportedly the oldest in Cusco, but totally renovated within with huge rooms. They allow in the picturesque courtyard, during the day, two women to sell their wares. No pressure. They bring with them each day a baby alpaca, which they allowed me to feed from... More

This hotel is in an historic building and very close to the main square. The rooms are comfortable, staff is friendly and the outside lobby and inside lobby are welcoming places to hang out and meet new people. Coco tea available in the lobby. Happy hour and breakfast are fine. One thing we had a jacuzzi in the room and... More

Stayed here for three nights. Biggest pro is it’s LOCATION as it is located one block away from the main plaza and the best restaurants in cusco. The hotel also provided complimentary pick-up from the cusco airport. The breakfast was satisfying (well-stocked buffet and you can order a la carte hot items such as waffles, omelets, pancakes, etc). the rooms... More

This hotel was our main stay while coming and going from Cusco to Machu Picchu and also on return from the Inkaterra Amazonica in Puerto Maldonado. We were able to leave our luggage here in storage both times when we left for a couple of days with only our backpacks. The staff at the front desk were mostly very friendly... More

Great customer service - on arriving they sit you down with coffee or "coco" tea, whilst you fill out the registration forms. Incidentally, the 'coco' tea is meant to help with altitude sickness, as Cusco is nearly 11,000 feet above sea-level. The hotel is very comfortable with plenty of guest space, including an open courtyard with its own tourist shop.... More

This hotel was very good for the price. EXTREMELY good location. Very close to the main Plaza de Armas but far enough away that there isn't a lot of noise/activity on the street outside. The customer service was great, immediately upon arrival we were served coca tea and they brought our check-in paperwork to us as we relaxed and sipped... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel Costa del Sol Ramada is located in a colonial-era mansion that is considered part of the cultural heritage of the city of Cusco. The building dates back to the 17th century, when the Marquis de Picoaga arrived in the city and built himself a new home, employing stonework and murals. The hotel is divided between a colonial wing and a contemporary wing, combining stone archways, a beautiful patio, a fountain and original murals dating from the architecture of the 17th century with all the comforts of a modern, contemporary hotel. The rooms have been designed for the comfort of the guests and are spacious, peaceful and fully equipped. They have Wi-Fi internet connections, cable television, direct dial telephones, safe deposit boxes and a mini-bar. The hotel conserves all the beauty of an old colonial mansion and provides the welcoming service that will make you feel special during every day of your stay with us. ... more   less
