I've stayed at Marriott's all over the world. This, by far and away, was the absolute best I've ever stayed in. The hotel staff were amazing - well beyond well taking care of you! The breakfast layout will shock you by the variety and offerings. Our room was absolutely stunning. Lastly, when was the last time you ever stayed stayed at a hotel and wanted to take a tour of it? We took the tour and I was more than impressed by the work Marriott did to preserve the history and ruins of the site on which the hotel is built on. Partnering with UNESCO, there are Incan and pre-Incan ruins within the hotel that you can view. The spa was amazing as well. If you go to Cusco and do not stay here, you are cheating yourself.

We recently stayed at the JW Cusco while visiting the area. We travelled on to the the Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain, the Inca Jungle Trail and Manchu Picchu. It was delightful to be welcomed back by the excellent staff to the comfort of the JW after a day of adventure. There were a good number of restaurants, shops, the plaza and nightlife all within walking distance.

The hotel is in a beautifully renovated convent with a grand doorway, foyer and lobby. The rooms are as you would expect in any JW Marriott, very comfortable and well decorated using the local theme. But what truly made a huge difference was the warmth of the staff. My son went through a double hit: altitude sickness and a stomach bug. Lourdes and Melisa were so supportive providing me with information and options on caring for him. Jesus (at the restaurant) was fantastic offering and ordering a light diet soup and Harry the medic was very attentive, measuring my son's vitals and providing oxygen to get him back to feeling like he was at sea level (as opposed to at 11,000 feet). Harry came back twice to ensure my son was comfortable and provided 2 more instances of oxygen. The hotel is not inexpensive but the support, the altitude sickness care as well as the facilities speak for themselves. I would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat, they have earned my loyalty for life.

This property is conveniently located in central Cusco. The front entrance is stunning! Upon entering the property, the hotel feels like a standard JW Marriott, and you may forget that you are in Cusco. The rooms are quite comfortable, but you may forget that you are in Peru. The bed, pillows, and sheets feel like any other JW Marriott. I recommend this property while visiting Cusco if you feel that you need a JW Marriott vibe. On a final note, the breakfast was absolutely amazing!

Wonderful hotel, fantastic staff. From the moment we walked in we received outstanding service. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I wish I got her name but the woman with the alpaca is just so nice. What a wonderful touch. Do take the hotel tour at night to see the ruins. Would definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting Cusco.

One of the bests JW Marriott properties. Every employee was friendly and super helpful. We were greeted warmly at the door. The amenities of coca tea and oxygenated room helped made the adjustment to the higher altitude without any issues. We enjoyed the thoughtful touches, the best welcome chocolate desserts ever. The breakfast is also smaller than other properities, but we still delicious. Stay at JW Marriott El Convento Cusco- you won't regret it.

The location, service, food, and rooms, everything was superb, more than our expectation. I was amazed the quality of its facilities, such as pool, sauna and oxygen air conditioner in each hotel room. You should consider using this hotel when you visit Cusco.

Stayed here with a group of friends at the end of last year and had a great time. The hotel is well maintain, friendly service, and a great location!!! It was central to Plaza de Armas and a ton of shops. The pisco sour making class was great (one of the best pisco sours in Peru!!) and the food was excellent. The spa area was also nice to relax in after a long day of traveling. The airport is very close by. Highly recommend staying here if you are staying in Cusco.

One of the best Marriott properties I’ve ever stayed at! From the welcome at the entrance to check in and all throughout our stay, this property performed at a five star level and never dropped the ball! We were particularly impressed by housekeeping and the speed and detailed care put into our laundry service. The morning we checked out, the restaurant staff graciously provided to go boxes for us to take our breakfast since it was very early. The breakfast buffet was high quality with lots of options! Most impressive was the hospitality and knowledge of the concierge, Pherla. She assisted us with all of our transportation and restaurant reservations, and even helped us resolve some communication issues with our next hotel. Her service was above and beyond and she made us feel comfortable and welcome at the hotel throughout the entire stay. I highly recommend this hotel!
