The best hotel in Cusco. Great location, beautiful decor and the staff was amazing, specially Danitza and Miriam. They treated my family like it was their family. They had the best breakfast options for the entire family and so organized. My family and I travel a lot and overall we were very impressed with our experience here above many other hotels and would highly recommend this hotel.
The JWM El Convento in Cusco is a Five Star Hotel by any measure. The Hotel accommodations are incredible and the Hotel staff are very polite, very helpful and genuinely nice. The Hotel is in a great location near the square and their food is exceptional, especially breakfast.
The pictures do not do justice to this hotel. Location is wonderful. Restoration of this beautiful property leaves one speechless. I was told I was given one of the best rooms in the hotel facing the courtyard. The room was a bit small therefore the four star rating. Food at the hotel is just ok but there are many food options within walking distance. Front desk and bellhop service was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay.
This was my second time staying at JWM El Convento, and I’m so happy I’ve chosen it again. You might think is too “high end” to feel Cusco, well… from the moment you step into the place you are submerged in a truly immersive ambient where luxury (yes, you won’t miss that) history, cultural respect, culinary arts and state of the art service are bound together to give you the best experience. The hotel offers many activities inside, as a cooking class, pics with an alpaca, learning about the textile arts, yoga, and also a great convent tour (because you are actually settled in an ancient convent, which on before was an Inca settlement). Special remark to Renato, who was amazing every single day, from greeting you at the door, helping, and being our guiding “Monk” at the tour. Every single person at this place made a remarkable memory in our trip. Thank you 😊…
My husband and I recently visited Cusco as part of our trip to Machu Picchu. The above hotel had been recommended to us by a few friends in Sydney,Australia and it certainly did not disappoint us in meeting out expectations. An original Augustinian Monastery converted into a Marriott Hotel, it certainly had a very special vibe. Each night a monk meets in the foyer to take guests on guided tour explaining all the history and artefacts. It was enthralling. The staff are so helpful and friendly....nothing is a problem. Fabulous pool, spa and sauna . Finally great cuisine and wonderful atmosphere, This is a 'must stay' accommodation when visiting Cusco
After visiting quite a few places in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, my bride to be and I chose the JW Marriott as the place to wed. The blinding itself is beyond beautiful and maintained is original touches of the renovated monastery. The location is in one of the best parts of Cusco close to everything but the huge advantage of this hotel is its people. This was our second visit and the consistent, friendly service is truly amazing. I'd highly recommend this hotel over any others in the area by far.
Of the 20-30 JW Marriotts I have stayed worldwide, this was the best. It's hard to find a luxury hotel these days that actually provides a high level of service worth the price you pay, but this hotel met and exceeded expectations in all regards. The property is beautiful, historic and in pristine condition. The amenities were plentiful. The food and drink were excellent. However, what really set this property apart from others was the extraordinary service provided. From arrival to departure, every detail was considered and addressed by staff. Marriott should use this hotel a model for exemplary service. If you're trying to choose between Belmond vs Marriott properties in Cusco, there is no competition: JW Marriott Cusco beats them all. Prices may be high, but it is worth every penny. I would gladly stay here again! …
This was always my favorite hotel in Peru. I was ready to write then a 3 or 4 stars because of the administration or bad communication with the hotel. But because beside this issue the excellente service I had, the other staff don't deserved to do a bad review. From the arrival you fell a warm welcome, Pherla was very helpful and did the best to give me an upgraded to a better room. Finally I had the next day because it wasn't available. One of the best employees was Virgilio super professional and helpful and respectful. Daysi give me an excellent service at the restaurant. Also I meet a Loss Prevention agent Sébastian who help me and gave a good recommendation about my stomach problems. Thank you!!! The unique issue it's the hotel has to work more with the management or administration, My friend who live in Lima has to call to the hotel, for my points and stays issues that take for a while to answered an email even Marriott Bonvoy has to emailed them called requesting requestes my invoice or folio that I never got a copy at check out or e mailed me. I found a chat I'm their web side and a Facebook page but both were only for the restaurant. Well beside this bad experience I recommended this property... but in my next trip to Cusco personally I will try other property like Palacio del Inka The Luxury Collection by Marriott, wich it's near and I heard good things about it.…
My husband and I went to Cusco, Peru from October 10th - October 23rd, 2022. For the first four days, we stayed in the J.W. Marriott Hotel. We can not say enough about this magnificent experience. From the moment that we entered the hotel, we were treated so kindly and sensitively – we felt like we were home with regard to the love shown to us as well as the comfortable and creative ways that we were served. From the wonderful selection of teas at the front desk, to our luxurious room with super comfortable beds, to the delicious meals and the most amazing breakfast buffet that we’ve ever seen and enjoyed, to the authentic care of the managers, the restaurant staff, the chef, the medic, the spa experience and staff, the tour guide “monk” - everything was incredible. We were so impressed with all employees’ commitment to a standard of excellence and great awareness to detail. We were given beautiful little gifts and homemade cards that we have kept. We also want to say how much we enjoyed one particular waitress – Andrea. She was a wonderful server but more importantly, we had such beautiful and meaningful conversations with her. She is a treasure! We would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Cusco, Peru. The historical building, outstanding employees, generous services, delicious meals and the overall sense of being cared for well are wonderful reasons to stay here.…
We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is so beautiful with so much history and spectacular architecture. The staff were all so helpful and courteous. Shout out to Ever at the front desk and all the rest of the front desk staff, William in the dining room, Isabel the yoga instructor and Renato the “monk” hotel tour guide. The hotel is very centrally located and walkable to all the best restaurants and sites. The buffet breakfast is amazing. The bar staff were very accommodating and made great pisco sours. would highly recommend for anyone coming to Cusco.
