My wife, daughter and I stayed at this hotel for two nights prior to Machu Picchu and again for one night on our return. The place is clean, excellent staff who can't do enough for you, early and fairly good breakfast buffet and just one block (downhill) to the Plaza.

I stayed in the suite on the 5th floor too. Beautiful big room with an incredible view. Only downside was a little noise from a disco down the street at night. Service couldn't be better. Free breakfast was good. Free wifi and airport pickup. 3 other friends stayed in other rooms during my stay. They all loved the hotel too.

Our first night here we had a spectacular superior room with a comfy king size bed. The staff were extremely helpful in getting us a boxed breakfast to go at 4:30 the next am as we were picked up for our tour. I was 100% confident in leaving our bags with the hotel for 5 days. It is charming and...

It was my first time to Cusco, so I wanted to be close to the action. This place was perfect. We stayed in one of the suites (the only room on the 5th floor) and had a fantastic view of the city. The staff was super helpful. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was simple, but fine. The...

When you start looking for hotels in Cusco (and you are a foreigner that has no clue of the area) you find hotels that are in a good place in the ranking but with extremely high prices. Then you have the other extreme with apparent low-quality low-price hotels. But you finally see an option that is in the midrange…but because...

This is a very nice hotel. Very modern decor. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They gave us advice about laundry facilities, restaurants, and helped us contact our tour guide by telephone. The location couldn't be better--right off the main square. Some rooms can be noisy as a result of music from a bar right across...

For our first trip to Cusco, we had planned to go all out and stay at the Monesterio, but figured the extra $1000+ wasn't worth it. Accordingly we were delighted we chose the Tierra Viva Plaza instead. We booked a superior room, and from the time Jesus picked us up from the airport, to our departure 3 days later, we...

Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza is located close to the plaza de armas, but it is actually fairly quiet, no street noise. The staff is helpful and at times brought me the oxygen tank to use when I needed it. There is complimentary coca tea all day available and 2 computers that guests can use, including printing of boarding passes if...

TV Cusco Plaza is nicely appointed, with beautiful unique rooms. Each room has a different layout as it is a converted home. Staff were wonderful and accommodating. Breakfast is good and starts early. Location is great, only steps uphill from the central plaza. Compared with some of the other larger hotels in the city, I feel that the TV Cusco...

We felt at home at Tierra Viva. We stayed at the location near the Plaza de Armas (Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza) for two nights at the beginning of our trip and one night at the end of our trip (the rest of the time, we traveled around the Sacred Valley). We had a standard double the first time--it was cozy...
