This is among the finest hotels my family and I have ever stayed in. Set in an OLD and beautiful building in the heart of historic Cusco, you feel like you’re stepping into a museum when you enter. The building was apparently the residence of the head clergyman of the Cusco cathedral from several hundred years ago. The amenities are first rate (high end furniture, super upscale bathrooms, etc.). Service is first rate, as is the food at the in-house restaurant. Pro tip, though: It’s an open air hotel during the day in the common areas, which means — at the elevation of Cusco (over 11k feet), things can get a bit chilly, so be prepared for that! (In no way, though, does that fact take away from the amazing experience at the hotel!). We highly recommend and look forward to returning some day so we can further explore the city.…
Wow! What an incredible and beautiful hotel!! Absolutely stunning hotel that used to be a home with a gorgeous courtyard in the middle. Really close to the city center and can walk to many restaurants. I stayed there for 10 days in May. Very comfortable beds and heated floors in the bathroom! The staff there was also amazing. Especially Gonzalo who worked the front desk… he went above and beyond in helping to make sure I was comfortable and helped with shopping recommendations. We had amazing meals and drinks there. People are definitely missing out if they don’t eat at the hotel!! I also want to mention Igor, who was the bar manager. Wow!! Talk about someone so knowledgeable! I enjoyed sitting in the bar and talking with him on a couple of occasions. He also made one of the best French 75s I’ve ever had!…
We stayed here before and after a 4 day, 3 night Inka Trail trek to Machu Picchu. It was perfect. Very centrally located--about 2 blocks away from Plaza de Armas. Complimentary breakfast was SUPER nice. They even packed us a breakfast to go when we had to leave early in the morning for our trek. A wonderful place to come back to after our hike. Fancy shower with four shower heads, jacuzzi tub, heated floors, heated towel rack. We loved it. Highly, highly recommend.
We stayed here three nights. The hotel is central to the town and very conveniently located. This hotel is spanish style hacienda which overlook a courtyard. There are paintings and furniture of Spanish and European style all over the hotel. The room is beautiful with a chandelier and antique cupboard, jacuzzi and heated floors. This is very luxurious. The room does get very dry with the heat on. Breakfast is included and its a lovely buffet with juices, breads, potatoes, different option everyday pasta, beef, tamales. The staff is well trained and efficient. A member of our party got Altitude sickness they arranged for a dr to come for a visit for $80 and dr took us to their clinic in an ambulance. They hotel provided oxygen tanks as well for $20. There is a restaurant onsite as well serving variety of dinning options. The front desk is very helpful and provided guidance and called for taxis. …
I loved my stay here. Gonzalo and Antonio were very kind and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast was great. Highly recommend as you are close to the main square while still having the feel of a historic and quiet hotel.
We stayed at the Aranwa twice, on our way to Machu Picchu and our way home. It is a wonderful hotel, less than 5 minutes from the Plaza de Armas (main square) of Cusco. We loved the hospitality, and especially want to thank Guido who made our stay extra special. He brought us our bags, tea, helped us with reservations, and was kind and thoughtful. Our room was pleasant and had a couple of features that made it extra special. First the room was heated, something that is rare to find in Cusco. So we were never cold, especially important in the morning. The bathroom floor was heated, an additional bonus. The breakfasts were lovely and plentiful. The coffee was great, and came with hot milk. Something we really enjoyed on a cold Cusco morning. The croissants are extra scrumptious. I have to admit to hiding one or two for lunch! The hotel itself is beautiful inside, with a myriad of art work to admire. We stayed at several other properties during our trip, but we felt like we came home when we arrived back at the Aranwa.…
My daughter and I just spent the better part of 2 weeks at this hotel. Fabulous location. The staff was the kindest, most helpful people. They arranged a car to pick us up at the airport, allowed us to check into our room early, and made sure we were comfortable. Throughout our time there, we left to spend time touring different areas, and the staff secured our extra luggage. Upon return, our luggage was waiting for us in our room. They assisted us with laundry and delivered it to our room when finished. Our room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The breakfast had a large variety of foods, and they still offered to make us eggs everyday. Almost every night, they called our room to make sure we were doing well and to see if we needed anything. This was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. This staff made our stay better than we could have imagined. Thank you, Aranwa!…
This hotel is a hidden gem in Cusco. Only a block or two off the main plaza, it is in the perfect location. The hotel itself is classy and historical and the staff are all amazing! The rooms even had jacuzzi tubs and rain showers, which I did not expect to have in Cusco, Peru.
One of the best hotels I 've ever been when visiting Cusco City. Staff has been friendly all the time, the bedroom is nicely decorated and the bathtub is just amazing. Breakfast and the whole environment in general was just delicious for all my senses.
The service was unbelievable, the staff went out of their way to help out with my allergies for breakfast and they waited with us outside late at night while waiting for Uber. They were so nice! We would definitely go back and tell our friends and family about the great service and food and how nice the hotel room was inside. It was so comfy and bathtub had jets. Location was great, it was in the middle of the restaurants and shopping area
