excellent location and the hotel supports an NGO that does wonderful work. Some rooms can be noisy but ours was great. The breakfast was fantastic and the front desk quite supportive. Their bakery (just next door, a tiny café) is spectacular.

Bad service in front desk, they look as if they did not care what you are claiming. The safety box of the room was never opened. In the second floor, street side, the noise of the cars is too loud. Toilet and bathtub were clogged. The bathtub was clogged in the three rooms that my family booked, so it is... More

Ok so on the whole this hotel is pretty good. Room was clean. Shower was excellent, except if you decide to shower after dark there is no light in or around that shower! There is also no fridge in the room, although there was room for one. There were no block our curtains so light shines through. The room was... More

I want to qualify this review by saying I have travelled extensively in Latin America and am quite familiar with the culture. I've stayed in both high-end and lower priced properties on several continents, so I don't expect the unreasonable. A large group of us stayed at La Casa Fray for a week. It is absolutely clean, which is a... More

The building is rustic (which makes it charming in a way but also feel a little dusty) and includes a few more things other than the B&B itself. The location is pretty central and easy to find. There is a nice shared garden you can use. The rooms are good enough, pretty basic, cleaned daily, with a heater (you really... More

I´ve been travelling 14 days in Peru (Cusco, Lima, Puno, etc) and by far, La Casa de Fray Bartolome was the best place! It has great staff, great breakfast, hot water, comfortable bedroom... All you need in terms of comfort while travelling!

We stayed here for a couple of nights after visiting Machu Picchu. The room was very clean. We had a room on the first floor that faced the courtyard and could barely hear the street noise. We did have issues with plumbing (shower wouldn' t drain and toilet barely flushing). Someone came to work on it (plunger in hand) but... More

I did not stay in the hotel, but I did visit the textile cooperative in the lobby on two occasions. This is by far the best cooperative for textiles in Cusco. The women were friendly, knowledgeable, and the prices were outstanding for the work. I strongly suggest a visit.

Very well located and run by an important local NGO. The patio is lovely, the service very good, and the breakfast is great. I should have sliced mangoes every day. Noise can be an issue and one friend said rooms around the side are small, but I recommend.

This place is pretty and has a great location, right off the Limacpampa roundabout. It is run by the cultural organization Centro Bartolomé de las Casas, so you're supporting a good cause. The patio was beautiful, the beds comfortable and warm, and the breakfast divine (mango! kiwi!). The main problem was that about twice every night an extremely loud alarm... More
