Detailed Reviews
This place is a super deal. It is on a little side street a two minute walk from the Plaza De Armas. It is located in the middle of historic Cuzco. The hotel is very conveniently located. All the tour guides know where it is. It is a small old hacienda that has been turned into a hotel. The owner and staff are all super friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean. The rooms have hot water and a little mini fridge. The hotel has a small restaurant. The food was good. The rooms are small, but as we were running all over the region to see the sites, all we wanted was clean sheets and hot water. There is a big box hotel right across the street that costs three times as much. I wouldn’t have changed. This place is perfect for what I was doing. You’re going to save a few dollars for just one more tour by staying here without giving up any real convenience. If I find myself in Cuzco in the future, I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Casa Biru in Cusco for one night before my Salkantay Trek. It was supposed to be 2 nights but our flight was delayed a day arriving. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I rented a family suite room for me and my two sons, we had one room with a large bed (queen size I think - plenty big enough) and another adjoining room with 2 twin beds. We had a private bath in our suite, and the hot shower was great - hot and plenty of water. Breakfast was included and was a delicious buffet, plus you could order off the menu. The location is very convenient to the Plaza de Armas and we did some great sightseeing from the hotel. The price was very affordable. I highly recommend this hotel to other travelers to Peru.

My husband and I spent 8 amazing days at Casa Biru. From the moment we stepped in the door we knew we had made the right choice. Ivan, Marizu, and everyone that works there create a beautiful environment that makes you feel welcomed as family. The room (and all of them, thanks to the special tour from Ivan!) is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, bathroom has a great tub for soaking or rainfall shower, and the bedding is cozy and comfortable for those cool Cusco nights. The central location is perfect. Steps from Plaza de Armas, and excellent food and shopping in any direction. Day one Ivan set us up with the best guide in the city and made dreams come true! Absolutely a beautiful place to stay, with the most amazing atmosphere and care. Words can’t express the gratitude my husband and I have for all the hard work and love that Ivan and his wife, Marizu, put into making your stay everything you could imagine and more. Thank you Casa Biru for the vacation my husband and I will treasure forever ❤️

Our room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it was located close enough to everything without being too noisy. Price was very good and for May, the temperature inside the room was just fine, even a little chilly in the morning. Although breakfast wasn't included, it was worth it--very fresh and tasty! This was an ideal start to our time in Peru. It wasn't a great location for our Salkantay trek pickup because of the busy street, but otherwise just a lovely hotel.

Based on the reviews we were very much looking forward to our stay at Casa Biru. Upon arrival we are received by a staff member who barely speaks English, which makes communication difficult. We hear there are also problems with the water. Once in the room we have a lot of problems with the restaurant next to the hotel. There is a loud noise from a ventilation or exhaust system (which continues late into the evening), which even makes the floor vibrate. It also smells like food in the room and it is cold. We have a meeting with the staff member at reception. She says she understands us but can't do anything. She hereby indicates that we have chosen the "budget room", giving us the idea that this is our problem. We'll just have to fix it with Booking.com. Fortunately, another employee is working later in the evening, who immediately helps us. She understands that we are not satisfied and can no longer stay here. We are allowed to sleep for free this night and the rest of the nights are cancelled free of charge. The next day we are again kindly helped by an employee, she is very sorry. We can still enjoy a delicious breakfast and everything is neatly resolved. We think that there is nothing wrong with the hotel ansich, but that we have been very unlucky with this room. In our view, it should no longer be rented to people who should enjoy their holidays.

The proximity of this hotel to the center of town is excellent! You can walk to Plaza de Armas and San Blas very easily. The price is certainly worth what you pay for here. Our family of 5 stayed in their loft room and we fit perfectly. I think it is good for a 2-3 day stay. Longer and it might feel crowded in this room. Lots of good restaurant options nearby.
The staff helped me get transportation services and Covid tests, so that was a major plus. The staff was a bit serious and they could be a bit more friendly.
On the improvement side, the breakfast was simple consisting of bread, cheese, an egg, ham, juice, and coffee. They could benefit from a little more variety and perhaps a bit more breakfast.
Overall a good experience. We would consider staying here again.

We celebrated my husband's birthday in Peru and we stayed at the Casa Biru Hotel. The evening of our arrival the staff brought us a heater and an adapter for our phones. The next morning at breakfast (which is included unlike the Marriott next door) they brought my husband a huge slice of birthday cake and played happy birthday over the PA system...we didn't even tell them it was his birthday! Very sweet and accommodating staff. If you have the chance to stay in Cusco stay here! Thank you guys!

It took me a while to write this experience, but I couldn't stop doing it. We were there 2 years ago and the stay was wonderful. We took a suite for 3 people, double height...a gem of a room divided into two floors, which allowed us all to maintain our privacy. All the staff were very friendly, and considering that we went in 2021, due to security measures, they served us a delicious breakfast in the room.
My aunt is gluten intolerant and they prepared everything in a special way for her.
Really very, very happy with the hotel service and all the staff, especially the restaurant guys :)

This a good basic hotel that is located a few minutes to the Plaza de Armas The hotel is clean, with a good breakfast and appears that the rooms were recently remodeled. Rooms have heat and hot water and rooms are cleaned daily. I had a little trouble with the internet when I arrived, but it worked flawlessly oaftwr the problem was resolved. I highly recommend this hotel.

It started with the fact that the lady at the reception hardly spoke any English and we had to use a translator to help us.
The rooms were OK, but pretty cold. The small radiator brought some warmth after a while. We also ran out of water in the evening, but luckily that was fixed. You could hear every step when someone walked past the room, unfortunately even at night!
For me, the worst part was the breakfast room, if you can call it that. It was more like a storage room. On the first morning we had to look for cutlery in drawers. It wasn't laid out. After 10 minutes of calling, someone came and brought us coffee. The selection at the buffet was limited.
When we had to stay here again on the way back, we got a bigger room, but even more noise because it was on the street and it was very thin.
We often couldn't leave or enter the hotel without any problems because there was no one at the reception.
I had imagined a boutique hotel differently. I chose it based on the reviews and can't explain them.
It was by far the worst hotel on our South America trip. Otherwise we only had positive experiences.

Dear Erie:
Our store has less than 2 years since its opening. We have recovered a colonial house, with Inca remains, to create a comfortable and different lodging space for the satisfaction of our clients.
Best regards!
