El Tuco is a nice, clean and friendly hostel about 15 minutes walk from the main square in Cusco. The staff were extremely helpful and provide lots of advice about what to see and do. The room is fairly basic but mine had an ensuite with a hot shower. The breakfast is included and is good. Very reliable Wifi reception... More

A friend and I spent 4 nights at El Tuco on our summer trip to Peru. Considering this isn't a hotel, what you get for a reasonable cost is more than perfect for the budget minded. We booked a 2-bed room and loved how clean and home-like the place was: nice hard wood floors, big windows, and a private bathroom.... More

Really beautiful and spotlessly clean place. Situated nicely in central cusco, this place is in an ancient spanish colonial building, with large, high rooms. Showers are by far the best in peru, high water pressure and good warmth. The owner coco is super nice and helpful. We were extremely happy with this place and prolonged from 2 to 4 nights!... More

Everything was amazing! Coco, the manager, is super helpful and gladly answered our numerous questions. He is also very knowledgable and gave us lots of travel advice. The hostel is a 10-15 walk from the Plaza de Armas and is therefore a lot more quiet than other more centrally located options. Our room had a private bathroom, very clean, with... More

Rooms were clean. Water in the shower was always hot. The hostel is 10 mins walk from the main square. Coco, the owner, was always very helpful, prepared breakfast for us at 6.30 am when we had to leave early. We were travelling back and forth from Cusco to other locations and Coco kindly allowed us to store our suitcases... More

A very good choice of you're looking for a place to come at ease. Nice, clean rooms in a historic house and a great host! We used Cusco as a 'basecamp' and did various tours/treks from there. To come 'home' to some peace and quiet before leaving early for the next trek was very enjoyable!

We stayed two nights in a twin room and were very happy. The shower was hot and had good pressure and the beds were comfy and warm. The whole place was very tidy and nice to have eggs for breakfast. Coco is an excellent host and is always willing to help out. A very easy walk to town with no... More

I stayed at El Tuco hostel for 4 nights, in between exploring the Sacred Valley and hiking the Salkantay. The hostel is great, with large communal spaces and excellent rooms - very clean and tidy. Coco, the owner, is also extremely helpful, he is always on hand to help plan trips and to offer information. Very considerate in helping with... More

We were only meant to stay here two nights but ended up staying a week because one of us became sick. Coco was excellent in accommodating us for every night we extended. Location was not so close to the centre, but not far either and we enjoy walking so it was ideal. Only drawback was that it was a little... More

I stayed there 4 nights. The hostel is located 10 mins from the main plaza of Cusco. Coco was always kind and he gave us the clear information. Wifi is good and we could do hot shower all the times which made us happy. Laundry or breakfast service were all fine and clearly informed. Its very clean and comfortable hostel.... More
