We stayed for a total of five nights in two separate rooms (before and after completing the Salkantay trek). The staff were very helpful and always attentive. The room was large and comfortable, cold at night, but that's standard for Cusco at this price range. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room well appointed and clean, with hot... More

Not the closest place from the main square and down a steep street, but definitely worth the effort! Our room was down the back of the property and was very spacious, also the bathroom. It felt very private and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very nice too, with bread, cereals, fruit and eggs. Due to the thick colonial... More

Arrived at 5am in the morning (nightbus), checked in, left our bags in a holding room, and were also given a bed in a separate (private) "resting room" where we slept until 10 when we could check in to our own room, very nice! Our room was spacious, had a great view, very clean and yes: there was a heater... More

The hostel is in a quiet location (for Cusco!) up a steep slope from the plaza. After staying in a louder, more central place, I was happy to do the walk for the better sleep! Plus points: - Room is simple, rustic but clean - Lady who works at night speaks excellent English - Good shower - Storage Negative points:... More

Although the location is kind of far from the Center, it has a good staff and they were very amicable. With great price, I got an individual room. It was very spacious and bright. It is clean, simple but awesome for backpackers.

Indira greeted me. She walked down to where I was dropped off from the airport - nice service. FYI - please do not get misguided from the name of the establishment. Hostal in Peru is Hotel. Although some units in Buena Vista do have shared bathrooms. Also, the units do not have heat, although you can rent a room heater…... More

From a personal point of view the Hostal was perfect a perfect start for my trip to Machu Picchu. Yes the Hostal is up a steep road but this just gives one an excuse to turn around and admire the view of the city. The rooms were a little on the chilly side but clean and tidy. The breakfast was... Although this is no luxury hotel, rooms are decent size and beds are comfortable. We stayed in #3 by chance which was a suite with a large sitting room and old Inca wall on the side. But windows were thin, little heat or air, and bath had thin sheeting over it with cobwebs. Staff was great! Let us store bags... More

First time that an owner told me my reservation rate was too much and gave me a discount. My single room had three beds. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was simple. The good news you are close to the top of city which is also the bad news. Beautiful views with plenty of restaurants close by.plus the cocoa museum... More

Our room was very specious and bright, the bed was great, everything was very clean and the breakfast was fine. The room was a bit cold but you can rent a heater . The staff was really friendly. The location is great but you have to go through a long steep street to get there, which can be very tiring... More
