The hotel was gorgeous and the view alone is worth a million bucks. Both the staff and the included breakfast were above and beyond what we expected. We even left our bag here while doing the Inca trail and they allowed us to change when we returned. Would stay again in a heartbeat
The Team work from the Hotel was just not good, they were amazing. If I could give more than 5 starts I will do it. Antony, Victor and Saul were amazing, I will definitely come back just because of their services. They were too kind and helpful!!
Small beautiful boutique hotel of the main hill street in San Blas - lots of good shops nearby and central for restaurants and easy access on foot to centre. Accessed through discrete door with stone tunnel to courtyard Had large room with huge comfy bed and a view looking out over the city. Staff friendly and helpful providing a personal service.
We stayed at the Tocuyeros Boutique Hotel for 3 nights in October 2022 and had an amazing experience. Upon arrival, Saul gave us a warm welcome and treated us to some coca tea to enjoy, while he showed us some of his favorite spots in Cusco on the map. We stayed in 2 separate rooms over the 3 nights that we stayed there, and both were very clean and comfortable. The hot water, the shower, the heater, the lights, etc — everything worked smoothly without any issues. The location of the hotel in the San Blas hotel was fantastic — just a 5 min walk from the Plaza de Armas (main square). Despite the buzzing location, the hotel itself felt like an oasis with a warm entry and amazing views of the city from the second level. The hotel has its own small restaurant with chefs, and we ate a delicious and healthy breakfast there every morning. Breakfast included: 5-6 kinds of fresh cut fruit (pineapple, mango, papaya, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon), sliced cheese, toast and avocado slices, and made-to-order items like omelettes, pancakes, waffles, etc. We also ate dinner at the hotel restaurant twice, and enjoyed the food. The vegetarian options did not disappoint! (the potato & leek soup was delicious) The best part about our stay was the top-notch service. Everyone on the hotel staff showed us such great hospitality and never hesitated to help answer our questions. Marilia was fantastic in helping to coordinate the delivery of some of our luggage (which was temporarily lost by the airline and then had to be delivered to the hotel while we were away). In addition, we have to give a special shout-out to Saul — he was so friendly, kind, and helpful. We asked him so many questions over the course of our stay (recommendations for restaurants/shops, how/where to book taxis to Ollantaytambo an the airport, where to find an ATM, the list goes on and on!) and he was so incredibly patient in answering all of them. He was also very thoughtful— for example, when we had a question about how to turn on the heater, he took off his shoes before entering our room without us having to ask! (a staff member at a different hotel we stayed at did NOT do that!) As people who really care about cleanliness, we appreciated that. When it came time to leave the hotel and take a taxi, Saul carried our luggage 2 blocks to the location where the taxi was waiting. Overall, our interactions with him were so positive and always left us smiling and appreciative of his service. All in all could not recommend this hotel any more highly — if you don’t stay here, you’ll be missing out!…
We had an amazing time at the hotel! The staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Shoutout to Saul and the rest of the team. The location was close to the main square but not noisy at all. We were very surprised the price was reasonable for how nice the experience was. We would stay here again!
We just came back from Peru. Stayed In this amazing Refugio. More like a colonial BNB. We loved it! Beautiful, super clean, nicest staff ever with very personalized service, peaceful & great location. We stayed from Oct 3 2022 - Oct 5th then returned for 1 night Oct 7th to our same room that was waiting for us, room #10. Marble bathrooms, big double bed rooms, we were 2 adults with 2 boys, and their breakfast so fresh and light perfect for the altitude. They assisted me when I had altitude sickness with an Oxygen tank and brought us Breakfast in bed by not sleeping that night. You feel like your visiting family. Cutest courtyard and always have natural teas available. Staff was just amazing !
Everybody here goes above and beyond expectations to make your stay memorable. The rooms are beautiful and the views of the city are spectacular. The bartender makes the best pisco sours we’ve ever had, and we felt very welcome in this beautiful andean city
Ah, Tocuyeros...We miss you already. Newlyweds, my husband and I stayed here before and after our 4-day hike to Machu Picchu! The staff were extremely kind and took amazing care of us when we were hit pretty hard with altitude sickness the first two days of our stay; they even helped us get a doctor (he came to the room late on our first night!). On the third day when we were feeling much better, the staff recommended fun things to do around the city. We ate several lunches and dinners at the restaurant, and they were all delicious. We loved taking our meals from the comfy couches in the sitting room with the incredible view. Breakfast was especially wonderful every day...I am still dreaming of their pancakes with red berry compote, fruit plates, and smooth espressos. After our hike, we were thrilled to return (and they'd kindly held our luggage). The rooms were large and clean, and they accommodated our request to stay on the second floor again since we'd loved our first room up there so much. The hotel was quiet and peaceful with breathtaking views of the city. We spent a couple afternoons just admiring the view from the balcony/patio. The hotel is in a great location on a really cute street with lots of shops and pharmacies and little markets. It's also a quick walk to the main square and some incredible restaurants. We cannot wait to return! …
I can't believe that this is only a 3-star hotel. It definitely felt at least 4-star. The staff were extremely nice, helpful and attentive. They helped us out so much and made our stay so easy and relaxing. Breakfast was wonderful everyday with great coffee. We actually stayed twice - for one night before we left on a 3-day tour, and for two nights when we returned -- and they allowed us to store our luggage so we could just take a small bag on our tour. They helped us arrange a car to pick us up from our hotel in Urubamba and to the airport on our final day. They helped us arrange a massage in our room. The food at the restaurant was also excellent. The rooms were large, clean and had great beds, pillows, towels & robes/slippers, showers and toiletries. The hotel was quiet with great views. It's on a super cute street with great shops and close to great restaurants like Pachapapa. Seriously can't recommend them enough!…
This hotel is located perfectly within old downtown Cusco. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They always greeted me by name and took care of anything I needed. The hotel suite is spacious and very comfortable. There's a great rooftop view of the city and surrounding mountains.
