5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Beautiful colonial building with two very peaceful and pleasant courtyards. We were travelling with another couple and had neighbouring rooms (actually suites). They were at ground level in the inner courtyard and in the old style. The new annex was next to and above us. Our rooms were very comfortable and quite charming, and the toiletries and facilities were very... More

The hotel is based in the old mint the building is very beautiful and straight away it take you back to older times. It is located just 4 minutes walk from the plaza de armas, is perfect located to visit Arequipa The service of the staff is very professional and cannot be fault. We had a suite and the room... The hotel itself, at least the common area, is absolutely beautiful and centrally located. The service was also attentive. Our room however (situated in a modern part of the building and not in the colonial one where the lobby and restaurant are) was extremely noisy - we could hear people coming back to their rooms in the middle of the... As mentioned in the overview the building is an old mint over 200 years old. It has true colonial charm with two courtyards both beautifully decorated. The rooms are large with the biggest king bed I have ever seen. The staff is courteous and the buffet breakfast is good. One warning, wifi is available in the lobby the have two... More

My first impressions were that the hotel had a great old outer courtyard, the new annex ( we had a superior suite ) was functional and made to look rustic and a great location around the corner from Santa Catalina and a short walk into the Plaza. Our room - 107 - was however very noisy as it echoed the... More

The location and the buildings are always unique although each one different, the staff is very nice, friendly and professional and the food and drinks are excellent. in the rooms there... More

The location of the hotel was good, within walking distance of all the interesting sights in the old town. My reading of TripAdvisor reviews had led me to identify two issues with hotels in Peru – cold and noise. Therefore, our experience of Casa Andina was disappointing but not unexpected. It was created from an old monastery built of the... More

I chose this hotel because ot is location-close to major attractions such as Monasterio Santa Catalina, Monasterio San Francisco, Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral along with La Compania-another incredible church. Not to mention all the restaurants on San Francisco St. And, if you're having problems with the altitude, it's easy walking. As for the hotel, it's an old colonial... More

This hotel is in a central position and the original building is in keeping with the local architecture. Our room was in a 'modern annexe', but with none of the perks one would expect from being more recently built. The windows looked onto a communal area, so we had to keep our blinds drawn at all times if we wanted... More
