We stayed at Casa de Avila for two nights and found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. The breakfast service was really delicious and they were quite helpful in orienting us to the city and central area which was only a short walk from the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here!

We were welcomed really friendly. All the staff in general was really friendly unlike in other hotels. Breakfast was the best we have experienced yet with scrambled eggs/ fresh juices/ yoghurt and milk with cereals and melons. Different WiFi spots up to the rooms. Rooms are a bit noisy and the cook for the Peruvian cooking experience wasn't available for... More

Well located close to the plaza de armas of the beautiful city of Arequipa. Simple rooms without phone, safe or refrigerator. However the breakfast in the garden is a wonderful experience. Arrived early and we were offered to have breakfast for 5 sol each, before check-in. Took a one day trip to the colca canyon via the hotel which was... More

Perfect place to stay in Arequipa. Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms overlooking a great garden area with resident tortoises. The staff were extremely friendly and happily stored our bags overnight when we went to trek Colca Canyon. Short walk from all the main attractions. Great value for money.

'Motel' style room overlooking a courtyard garden. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast for the price, eaten outside. A pleasant enough ten minute (uphill) walk to the Plaza de Armas. We were met at the airport (included in the price) which really helped. Strongly recommended.

Thank you for your commentary. The building was built in 1937, actually it was a hotel in those days . We reopened 10 years ago and keep remodeling while keeping the original infrastructure and adding as much comfort as we can without main modifications. The building is part of the history of the city. We keep including facilities and amenities... More

The location was very good, close to the Plaza de Armas and all the main attractions in Arequipa. The staff was very nice and friendly. The garden was beautiful, a great place to start your day, planning for your travels, or to come back and relax after a day of walking.

We came to this hotel originally 4 years ago, and loved it so much we decided to stay there again on our way through Peru the second time. We were here for a month to take spanish lessons. It was priced well, especially if you plan to take lessons here. The staff was great, helpful, and forced us to practice.... More

Thank you for your visit. We are four blocks away from main square, but away from the noisy traffic area. Not a luxurious hotel, but we make our best effort to keep this charming building (built in 1935) as comfortable its possible. Yes, its really big to be called "Casa" or house. Two thousand square meters with fourty rooms arround... More

We stayed for one week as a family of two and loved it. When getting a room ask for one facing the courtyard as they get more sun and are warmer and the view is nice. The courtyard is a nice large outdoor space with chairs, tables, trees, and two resident turtles who bite. There is a Spanish school on... More

We love families! This year we received many and all of them lovely. The courtyard is a great place for kids. And yes, turtles bite (if you teese them!:)). Spanish is a success for guests and the cooking has turned to be the most well commented activity on Trip Advisor. Guests receive a discount in both. Thank you in the... More
