We stayed for one week as a family of two and loved it. When getting a room ask for one facing the courtyard as they get more sun and are warmer and the view is nice. The courtyard is a nice large outdoor space with chairs, tables, trees, and two resident turtles who bite. There is a Spanish school on... More

We honestly cannot say enough good things about our stay at Casa de Avila! The staff go above and beyond for you here! They were always smiling, quick with recommendations, and always available to help. The cooking class and pisco lesson were a blast and we spent hours and hours in the courtyard watching hummingbirds, enjoying the great wifi, and... More

They do enjoy taking care of our guests! They are our best asset. And we take good care of them too. We are very happy when everything is Ok for our guests. You can have that avocado chicken salad and many other delicious specialities (half pound hamburger, local stuffed pepper, "salchipapas", diet soups, etc) from 4 to 9 pm. My... More

Pretty dreary room, needs upgrading. Not too clean: smelled musty and of that fake lemony cleaning fluid. Hairs on the sheets, muddy footprints in bathroom. Noisy. Great wifi, nice but charmless courtyard, staff are excellent. Nice breakfast, tortoise is fun. Plenty of hot water. Might be the right hotel for the one step up from a hostel crowd. Sorry to... I am deeply sorry about your experience with Casa de Avila. Our cleaning procedures are very strict and we are reviewing all of them. Hard to understand what happened. But it will not happened again, you can be sure about that. We understand North American standards are very high and we try to achieve them. Good to know hot water... More

What can I say besides thank s to you. I read your comment to my staff and they are very happy to know they were part of your travel experience and you are satisfied with their job. If you're looking for clean rooms, hot water, friendly service, and a fantastic courtyard to enjoy breakfast in, this is your spot. We arrived around 5am and checked in early for an additional 25 soles - very reasonable! Spanish and cooking classes are also available

Yes, real hot water. Only asking our guests to take short showers because we are in a dessert and need to keep water for population. Thats sustainable tourism right? Yes, if you don t take the early check on option, you can leave your luggage and scout surroundings and plaza de armas while your room is ready. And of course,... More

Very friendly and helpful staff and good location. The garden is lovely. Some rooms are still being remodeled when we stayed there June 2016. We left and came back so we stayed at two rooms. The newly remodeled one was very nice.

Thank you! and we want to do more. Any suggestion will be evaluated and for sure we will include it in our service. Our main reason is your satisfaction and we work hard for that. I can fully recomment this hotel in any way. The owner even made me a bad-weather plan once and they were so caring when i was sick. There are spanish and peruvian cooking classes available for a good price and the garden of the hotel is beautiful.

Stayed here in 4 nights and it was a nearly perfect experience, not the least due to an exremely forthcoming, helpful and friendly staff, and the lovely garden and garden restaurant, where you can order homecooked delisious peruvian dishes and other. The staff was very friendly and tried to help in every situation. The rooms are nothing special, we had better ones in Peru for much less money. It was pretty cold in there. The breakfast was okay, but we had much better ones in other hotels. There was just some bread, butter, marmelade, cheese and meat. For every "special" (eggs,... More
