They did.. Staff was super friendly. And yes, some of the rooms did not have a window to the steet. But that just gave you perfect quiet for sleep. We didnt feel any smell, as others pointed out. The place feels like old Paris and a munk cloister. Just great

It is an old-style colonial house turned into a hostel. It has been renovated so it doesn't seem old inside. Rooms are clean and spacious as well as bathrooms. The rooms next to the street have a balcony but can get pretty noisy. The hostel is located half a block from the main square. Everything is accessible by foot and... More

The best thing about this hostel is the location. It is literally steps from the main square, tons of food and shopping. Every must-see is within walking distance. The rooms are very spacious and it looks like you're sleeping in a castle. Cons: the cleanliness in the rooms; I assume because of the building material, it gets very dusty. The... More

Evertything was great about this place! The location - right on the corner of Plaza de Armas. The interior is simple but has the unique and comfortable feel to it. And last but not least is the staff - I felt truly welcomed and taken care of ))

We stayed here a couple of nights either side of a trek and enjoyed the stay. Charming rooms and well designed, good shower. Great location just next to Plaza de Armas. Down point was the room did get stuffy as no access to fresh air, and there was the faint smell of drains around if we didn't close the bathroom... More

Located just off the main square, this colonial era, volcanic stone building has plenty of character. The rooms are airy, cool and of a decent size. Most have a nice balcony overlooking the city too. The ensuite bathrooms are basic but perfectly adequate. There is a large communal area with a computer free to use. The breakfast area upstairs also... More

Brilliant balcony, great stone interior and wood floors! Very tastefully decorated with clean sheets. Fantastic tv and wardrobe space. Computer available for use in communal area. Great breakfast space and sun terrace. Location was amazing! The staff were quiet but helpful.

We had just stayed 2 nights in Arequipa and found this casa from lonely planet in the last minute. The room is big and beautiful; water of the shower is hot enough; the staff was friendly and smiley helped to arrange couples of taxi efficiently. In terms of value, we have nothing to complain about. Especially for the location, it... More

The location and architecture of this property is exceptional. In the classic white stone, arched ceiling style of Arequipa buildings, you really get the feel of staying in a stone house, floor to ceiling. We were, however, disappointed with the friendliness of the staff. Each of the three front desk staff we encountered always seemed to be inconvenienced whenever we... More

The hotel is situated next to the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa. The location is splendid. We had a chance to stay in two rooms. One had a tiny window to the roof, another did not have a window at all. But in return both were silent, I guess. The building is a typical white stone building of Arequipa. I... More
