Our hotel is located in a recently restored heritage building in the historic center of Cuenca. We offer 12 elegant guest rooms that invite you to enjoy your stay in Cuenca in a traditional environment at the most comfortable level. Each room has a private bath with modern installations. The Forum Hotel charm comes from the conservation of the original elements of the building. Those elements are mainly the two courtyards, adobe walls, wooden balconies and wrought iron elements, and traditional tiling. A classic living room with hand painted ceiling round up the picture, which recalls the old times. The guest rooms are more modern, inviting our guests to feel at home. In our restaurant "La Brasserie" we offer dishes with French and Ecuadorian influences. Within our building we also have a shop with quality handicraft from all over Ecuador. Committed to preserving the environment, we use LED technology lighting, which significantly reduces our energy consumption.

Needed a place to spend one night in Cuenca. Tried to book this hotel last minute through Agoda but reservation was cancelled so I walked in at about 2:30pm and got a room for even a lower rate then had previously seen online. Small but very safe and clean hotel. Room was small (typical for South America) but clean, super comfortable bed and good shower (good pressure and super hot water). Blow dryer available in the room. Staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was included, simple but good: cheese and cold cuts, fruits, granola, yogurt, and eggs made to order. Location is perfect, close to everything. Would stay here again!

We extended our stay due to the service and overall atmosphere of this classic centrally located hotel. The room was small but had the cleanliness and crisp bedding of a high end boutique hotel. A small sitting room was right beside us with fresh flowers and a feel of an English parlor. Maria Augusta seemed to be perpetually at the front desk and was our concierge for about everything, even making sure we left on time. She was great. An interesting side note, the hotel houses and is likely owned by the German consulate and is obviously well run.

We stayed here for two nights in January as a part of a tour. The room was very nice, even though we needed to climb two flights of stairs to get to it. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, although there are too many cushions on the bed (why do so many hotels do this?) which was very comfortable once they had been removed. A good, clean and efficient bathroom completed the scene. The hotel is very well positioned right in the heart of the old town meaning that it was simple to walk out and enjoy the sights and restaurants all around. Internally the hotel is very attractive with a number of elegant touches. Breakfast was reasonable, although somewhat disorganised if you wanted to eat at opening time. There was plenty of food, however, so we were well satisfied. We woiud be happy to visit the Forum again if we ever revisit Cuenca.

We've recently enjoyed a 3-night stay in this hotel. Our rooms were in the back of the hotel, and they were well-maintained, clean and spacious. The bed's very comfortable and the bathroom very modern. The location is superb, as it's right in the city center and only minutes away from Cuenca's highlights. Overall, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the only downside might be that breakfast is a little limited. In addition, this hotel didn't have that 'personal touch' that we've so often experienced in Ecuador and which makes your stay even more special.
