I stayed here once several years ago in the room with a loft which is gorgeous, with a view to the street. This time we stayed in a double room and I was a little underwhelmed. The view was a closed parking lot. I was expecting a little more wow factor (to match what the rest of what the hotel looks like), but it was okay and bed was very comfortable. When I asked the woman at the desk if I could see other rooms, she acted a little miffed as if someone had insulted her own home which seemed a bit unprofessional. The others available weren't better so we stayed in the one we were originally assigned. For breakfast we got eggs benedict- excellent. I love the overall ambience of this hotel and I would return. My husband was in touch with someone by phone and email before we arrived and he was very kind.…
I reserved through booking to my wife and I and To my father and wife, completely disappointed. Was given a ground floor room and it was next to the kitchen and to the restaurant, completely ridiculous to have a room next to a restaurant , you can hear everything from the tables and it was impossible to rest , my fathers room was on the second floor but it was so tiny he felt clausthrophobic , we had to change from hotel , reception lady was nice and help us with the refund .
Stayed 3 nights at Santa Lucia. Its a very nice hotel, well located, and has a good restaurant. The front desk staff was super helpful, and they all spoke good English. From Cuenca I would recommend a trip to Cajas National Park. Its an easy 60 minute bus ride- then tons of shorter or longer hiking trails. The trails are decently marked and AllTrails was solid. Just be ready for virtually no one out there and enjoy!
Santa Lucia was very posh compared to what we’re used to and added a nice touch of luxury to our trip. The restaurant at the center of the hotel can be noisy at night, but by midnight all is dead quiet, and the beds are soooo cozy. Located only one block from Plaza Abdon Calderon. The included breakfast is in a lovely casual restaurant at the front of the hotel with French Country design and authentic Ecuadorian cuisine.
Real boutique hotel experience. Unique and charming environment. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. The facilities where beautifully done in an 18th century colonial house with a lot of the original decoration. The breakfast was good, although it could have more choices.
Nice boutique hotel in the heart of Old town, kind staff, very good breakfast and dinner, The fridge / minibar in the room was missing. Near the hotel is a sightseeing bus station, which I highly recommend.
This hotel is small but cozy situated in the middle of historic cuenca. Walking distance to food, shops, and general site seeing of the old Town. The hotel itself has a great ambiance with a design that makes it look like an old "inn". I will be staying here on my addition visits.
My friend and I had a last minute trip to Cuenca. Our original option for a hotel was not viable (the hotel was not there anymore because of COVID). We wandered around downtown until we came across this option. There was no question we were going to stay here once we entered the lobby. Immaculately clean. The desk clerk was amazing. Since we were in Cuenca, we asked for a room with a view. We ended up staying on the second floor with a balcony facing the street. This room was beautiful. It had three beds -- one on the main floor and two up in an overlooking loft. After a short respite, my friend and I wanted to go for a drink. The desk clerk had already checked around and made a recommendation for a bar down the street. It was great. I will definitely stay here again if I ever end up in Cuenca.…
in the very center of Cuenca. great location as you have walking distance to all sights. the building in it self is historical and well worth a visit in its own rights. the price only 50 $ per person. the restaurant however was closed. only breakfast available.
We spent only one night in this hotel and we were very happy about our choice. The hotel is very fascinating with a quite good breakfast, beautiful rooms and very attractive patio. Another big adavantage it's the location really in the old centre of Cuenca.
