Outstanding hotel. Unassuming from the outside but what a surprise when you enter. Old world hotel with modern amenities. Had a two bedroom suite that was actually a two bedroom apartment with two bedrooms, full kitchen, dinning area, couches and modern bathrooms. Great breakfast that would please any ones tastes. Service beyond anything you can imagine. Diego at the front...

We are a family of five (with three kids ages 3, 6 and 8) and stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment at the top of the hotel. The apartment was very spacious with an outside deck. Every one of the staff members at the hotel was extremely kind, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere at the hotel is calm and pleasant...

Driving up to the hotel I was a bit worried. The exterior did not have much appeal. Either did the street. Once inside I was pleasantly surprised. They have made all kinds of effort and attention to detail. Some touches like rose petals on the towels, simple stuff but you know somebody cared. Its a few blocks to walk to...

I was pleased to find such a highly rated hotel at such an affordable price. The hotel advertises parking available for $5/day. They don't mention that the lot is a block and a half away from the hotel, and we were actually charged $7-12/day depending on the time we got the car out. The hotel itself seems like an old...

The hotel is within a ten minute walk from the main square, in a quieter area in a quieter area so it, is very convenient . We had three rooms for a family with adult children and all of the rooms were very clean, the big, king sized beds comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was great. Our rooms were cleaned...

We had a wonderful breakfast and were served with professional care. There is a bit of "old" Ecuador preserved in the traditions here and I find this very welcome. The living are lovely and the people who maintain them friendly and helpful. The desk is staffed and able to answer questions on directions, restaurants, shopping, etc. in English. Our room...

A friend and I stayed in the phenomenal 2-room suite. It's gorgeous, well-appointed, you have your own patio, great showers with very hot water. Perfect. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't real coffee (only Nescafe). If they only invested in a coffee maker/espresso machine this place would be about perfect. It's far enough out of the...

We stayed here for 5 nights in December 2014/January 2015. We initially had the Esmeralda room where the bathroom was connected to the same wall (with an open window) as the breakfast area. The door also had plexiglass so it was very noisy! In addition, one wall/window was connected to the cute outdoor area, which was also a smokers area,...

Nice rooms with roses (of course), friendly staff, not too far to walk to Plaza de Armas. They offered us hot bottles to keep warm at night, which is really comfortable at this altitude. The breakfast is great for most people, but if you can't eat bread/gluten, there is only fruits and yoghurt (no eggs). But still, definitely a hotel...
