It i sin the old town of Cuenca, very old house well maintained, very rustic. Good room, but could be noisy depending on your neighbors. The sound outside the room is easily getting into the room. Well positioned to walk around old Cuenca. We liked it.

Casa del Aguila was beautiful. Our 10 day stay could not have been better. The staff was friendly, helpful and so patient with our Spanish. (Some staff members speak English.) They helped us with tour information and airport transport. The location is excellent and safe, within walking distance to the main areas of Cuenca. The room was beautifully appointed with... More

This hotel is beautiful and quaint. But considering the price I think I expected more. There in no TV in the room - just a bed and some furniture. The shower is the best I had on my 3 month trip in SA. The breakfast is good but needs some consistency - one day it was a la carte, the... More

We stayed for four nights recently and appreciated the very helpful and friendly staff (every one of them!), the cleanliness, and the location. We also enjoyed the common rooms. The only problem was wifi - connecting was very difficult from our two rooms. It was easy to connect in the common space. We'd stay again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are cozy, the showers have plenty of hot water, and the bed was comfortable. The stay includes a breakfast buffet with fruit, crescents, coffee, and eggs that are delicious. It is served in outside which adds to the charm. The staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is in an old... More

The decoration is amazing, stunning, I have no words to describe it. Staff is helpful and supportive. Amenities and services are very good. The hotel is very well located, close by the historic center. I would certainly come back. Wi-fi is not the best, but it is not a problem. The room is quite small, despite the fact that for... More

We greatly enjoyed our two night stay here. The inn is quaint and quiet. The staff are very helpful. Cynthia at the front desk speaks excellent English and is very willing to offer suggestions and help make reservations or any arrangements - both in advance of our trip via email and in person. The room and beds are very comfortable... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The building has a calm relaxing atmosphere and is very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is great- an easy 4 or 5 block walk to the main square. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative aspects are to do with noise within the hotel. The doors are very... More

A very nice old restored 1802 colonial building, but the frills are few. Rooms have no TVs, and they somewhat resemble rooms in a convent or seminary; somewhat spartan, albeit very well maintained and clean. The breakfast, included, is a nice buffet selection and the dining area is very handsome. Staff were always helpful and responsive. Very reasonably-priced. Noise was... More
