My husband and I stayed at Villa Colonna in the Old Town area of Quito, Ecuador after spending a week on a boat in the Galapagos. At first we were disappointed that we were not staying at the Hilton with our fellow cruise mates --until we stepped inside Paradise! We were warmly welcomed by Rudy, the owner, who proudly showed... We spent two lovely nights in this exceptional B&B. The decor and spacious atrium are wonderful and the view of Quito from the terrace is spectacular. The hosts are gracious and friendly and worked out an itinerary of sites for us. The sumptuous breakfast was all we needed until dinner. This B&B was a highlight of our trip to Ecuador... More

The only thing the Villa Colonna has in common with a bed and breakfast, is that you get both a bed and breakfast. The bed is in a suite, which is more beautifully and comfortably appointed than any I've ever experienced. The (potential) breakfast (as no one could possibly consume all the delicacies offered) is fresh, unique, bountiful and delicious.... More

My partner and I stayed at the Villa Colonna also on the front end of a Galapagos trip and almost didn't want to leave. If it hadn't been the Galapagos we may have changed our reservations...but you know how it goes. Anyway, our hosts were fantastic, the villa is fantastic, and the service was fantastic. We even discovered we had... More

Our travel agent had wanted us to stay at the Villa Colonna on both ends of our Galápagos trip, but she could only get us into it on our way home, and so we only had one night there. (We stayed at the Hotel Plaza Grande on the front end, which I also highly recommend.) Worse, we arrived around 7... More

If you are going to Quito I would recommend that you stay here rather than anywhere else in the city. Rudy and Rigo have to be the best hosts I have ever come across and do anything they can to make your stay the best it can be. The villa feels just like a home. We stayed there before and... More

Excellent location. Rooms stylishly furnished. Very comfortable. All amenities available. Excellent cuisine. The perfect place to be if you like personal attention rather than a large anonymous hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the villa colonna for 2 nights in October as part of a visit to the Galapagos islands and we wish we could have had longer. The villa itself is located in the old part of Quito which has much more character than the newer part of town. The owners are Rudy and Rigo and they... More

We had a truly fantastic time at this bed and breakfast situated in the city center of old town Quito. You can easily walk to the major tourist attractions. The highlight was a roof top terrace with a breathtaking view of Quito. Our most gracious hosts were not only great cooks (amazing breakfasts), but they were also most helpful in... More
