The hotel building is full of charm with amazing views of the city from the terrace. Christopher and Marlon are very kind and helpful hosts and they make a truly excellent breakfast. The location is very convenient for old town sights and restaurants. Rooms are spacious with everything you need.

We had a wonderful stay here before our visit to the Galapagos. The hotel is beautiful and so comfortable. Marlon, Christopher & Jennifer took wonderful care of us. Breakfast was fresh & delicious. The rooftop offered fantastic views of the city. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here 3 nights in December which was a rebooking from our canceled trip in march 2020. The owners Pascal and Debra could not have done more to make our stay truly memorable and were very understanding with the rebooking. The villa is amazing and very convenient to all the sights! The villa is amazing full of great art and beautiful objects of art. Highly recommend!

Debra and Pascal where amazing! They also saved us the night we arrived to Quito. When we arrived to our original booked stay at the place next door, no one was there to open and no one answered the phone. We were standing on the street outside at night and Debra came out, she offered assistance and we ended up staying at her place. The property is amazing, clean and top notch everything! Great food and amazing people. The view from the Terraza is amazing, and the location is perfect to walk around the center. Thank you Debra and Pascal for taking us in and salvaging our trip! 🤘🏻

The hotel offers an outstanding personal experience in the heart of historic Quito. The hotel manager, Fernando, works to make all your arrangements during your stay creating a personal luxury experience that rivals five star hotel chains. The ornate rooms offer beauty and comfort essentuate the historical colonial period the hotel is modeled after. Once an old embassy the details from floor to ceiling captivate the eye every time you turn a corner. The stay is worth the price!

Great place to stay in Quito. Ideally located next to to colonial old town, but thats not why i would suggest to stay there. Small, 6 rooms only boutique hotel decorated with a lot of taste according to the colonial style and extremely good service, very personal and very attentive (they even offer a local sim card upon your arrival to be used while your stay in Ecuador). The other remarkable thing was breakfast. Absolutely to choose if passing through Quito.

If we could give this 10 stars we would. This was by far the best hotel experience we had. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the view from the terrace is phenomenal. The place is like a Bed and Breakfast, with 6 rooms total, and a full breakfast spread with pastries, granola, fresh local fruit, and a freshly prepared “dish of the day” (cheese omelette and eggs Florentine while we were there). Beyond the amazing space and amenities, the location is ideal for walking to the main squares in Quito and it’s a quick cab ride form other great sites. The pièce do résistance was the concierge, Fernando. He attended to all the needs we had and even those we didn’t know we had! He helped us get around everywhere, suggested great spots, and called ahead to make reservations among others. He is a real gem and a kind-hearted person, plus he speak THREE languages (at least!). Five stars+ and we will definitely be coming back.

Room Tip: Best to take a taxi there from the airport. There is a bell to ring to be let in.

The Villa Colonna Quito is amazing and I could not have made a better choice for my 3 night stay in Quito. It is a 6 room boutique hotel located on Benalcazar, about 5 blocks from the Plaza Grande. The rooms are beautiful, large, and most have a sitting area. The whole place has been very tastefully renovated and decorated, with many special details. I felt like I was living in a comfortable, beautiful home along with museum quality artwork. The rooftop terrace is great. There is comfortable seating, with incredible views of the city. However, on top of all that, the staff is fantastic. Prior to my arrival I had excellent email communication with Antoine, and while I was staying at the hotel, the manager, Fernando was the best - super helpful and super kind. Breakfast was extensive and yummy. Also, I ate dinner at the hotel one night, where the chef, Vladimer, will prepare dinner for you. It was delicious, reasonable, convenient, and a great evening. Staying at Villa Colonna really added to my overall Quito experience as it is perfect in every way, and I cannot recommend highly enough.

It takes a lot to impress me but I can honestly say this is the most lovely, well-kept, comfortable boutique hotel I've ever stayed in! Tastefully decorated with beautiful artwork and furniture, each room is impeccable and decorated in a slightly different style but all in keeping with the overall theme. The lounge area and corridors are also stunning. Most importantly, Fabrice was an exceptional hotel and client manager. Fabrice and his team had thought of every detail, gave personalised recommendations and a truly personalised stay with special cooked breakfasts, including at 6am following a night bus and a very early arrival. The attention to detail and care for the guest were truly second to none!

This property is truly a gem in the heart of the historic center of Quito. It is just a couple of blocks up a steep hill from the main square and that makes it feel very safe as no one loiters outside the property. The rooms are so unique and well appointed, like being in a model home. The 18th century structure used to house the Turkish Embassy, and the new owners have truly decorated it like a museum. So many charming sitting areas and the rooftop veranda is not to be missed for the views! It is also an extremely clean and well maintained place. As for the staff, so much to say... Fabrice, the very knowledgeable and lovely General Manager, checked us in, and made us feel immediately at home and welcome, and introduced the home to us... and sadly informed us he would be off for three days during our stay. He assured us that his colleague Fernando, who is a longtime house employee and recently promoted to manager, would take excellent care of us for our three night stay. He could not have been more accurate. Fernando was such a joy and fantastic resource for us, and also very sincere and generous with his time (Both gentlemen speak perfect English). Fernando attended to our every need, coordinated tours, taxis, dinner reservations, late checkout because of our flight schedule... and anything else you can imagine. The rest of his team, Vladimir the chef and Maria, were both so wonderful as well. Breakfast always included something interesting from the chef (warm dish), and there were always a variety of fruits, cereals, freshly baked goods and a protein and non dairy milk for my partner, who is vegan. Fernando also offered to do complimentary laundry for us on arrival, and we took advantage of that, having been in the Galapagos for a week prior to coming to Quito. You won't find that at a chain hotel! Villa Colonna offers the best of both worlds of a B&B and a traditional hotel... as you have all the amenities of a large private room/bath, but lots of common areas in a large "mansion" colonial courtyard type home, complete with common eating areas for breakfast/dinner or drinks.
