A very nice location next to Mariscal and walking distance to the artisanal Mercado, this hotel is located in a corner street. There is a tight but fully manicured landscape, a garden with a couple of benches and a cast iron set of tables and...More
This is a nice looking hotel with friendly staff. The plumbing apparently can't cope with too many people so we got cold showers in the morning. We also struggled to get to sleep with the big party of Americans shouting in the hallways until late...More
This delightful guest house is a true gem. It's in the heart of La Mariscal, a short walk to Plaza Foch and all the nightlife the area has to offer. It's safe and secure and a charming spot to stay. Clearly it's been recently renovated...More
The Hotel Cuba (hostel) was a delight! The bathroom was nice and clean. It may seem strange, but I want to point out that the windows were handmade of thick wood and painted blue. The hotel had a gingerbread feel, what with the narrow passageways...More

Hi Steve, sorry if this is too late but I don't check tripadvisor regularly. It takes about 45 minutes from the airport to the hotel, maybe a little more in rush hour. We had transfers so I'm afraid I don't know the price. The safest way is as with the rest of the city to take an official cab with all the badges. That said, we used an unbadged taxi for another trip once and it was fine and in general we found the city safe - did quite a bit of walking at night to and from restaurants and bars. There were a few streets that looked dodgy but use commonsense and you should be fine.
