Lovely, quiet, family hotel in Quito. It's within walking distance to a number of good restaurants. Also, the hotel restaurant is also nice. Front desk staff were very helpful as well. Thanks to their help we were able to better navigate the city. The hotel is also within walking distance of Parque Carolina. Brownie made us feel at home. Would... More

Overall I really liked this hotel; quiet, nice room, beds, good shower. Good breakfast with good service, simple American style choices, all very good - eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit, strong coffee, etc. Our room did not include breakfast however price was reasonable ($7 or $8 for eggs+). Very sweet, friendly bunny lives in the patio. One complaint was that one... More

Had a truly amazing trip the the Galapagos. Flew through Quito and my companions selected this B and B to stay for a few days on the way home. A block off the main road the area seems to change dramatically. But once inside you feel like you've entered a lovely, spacious tastefully decorated home. As a non Spanish speaker... More

Very nice place for our 3 day extended travel subsequent to being in the Galapagos with Ecoventura tours. Great location and very nice and kind staff! Their recommendations for day tour guides (City sites, Octavalo and cloud forest) was spot on. When we return to Quito, we look forward to another stay with them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Room was very comfortable, lovely linens and hot water. The staff was multilingual, friendly and eager to please. We enjoyed the fire every night with relaxing jazz music and a glass of wine. Very reasonable priced food in the charming restaurant, especially recommend the seabass. Ample servings. Great location with easy walk to... More

La Rabida was the best. It was like a home away from home. While there, we never felt like we were in a big city hotel. The small staff were all super hospitable, always attentive to our needs and desires...of course, in the best possible way. Our rooms were smallish, but comfortable. The common areas are welcoming - a patio... More

La Rabida is the perfect alternative to big, impersonal cookie cutter hotels. A beautiful home furnished with antiques, good art, comfy beds and chairs. Warm, attentive service. Maybe 10 rooms all together. Each different. Inviting living room and bar with working fireplaces. Bright dining room. Good breakfast. In the Mariscal district surrounded by restaurants and entertainment.

We stayed one night with a late flight scheduled for the following day. We were able to store our luggage and tour Old Town during the day, return in the evening for a meal at the restaurant, and then get a taxi to the airport for an 11:00 PM flight Staff was always willing to assist, bed was good, and... La Ribida met all of our needs for a small, private, yet comfortable place to stay after our busy days. Prompt and active staff were always attentive and helpful. No shortcomings. Dinners and breakfasts were always well presented.

My husband and I felt we had reached a quiet, homey haven at La Rabida when we arrived from California. . Pablo and the other staff were really helpful. Our room was quite small but comfortable, very clean, bathroom fine. The sitting & dining rooms & garden at the back are attractive & pleasant. Restaurants are handy & we loved... More
