A very nice hotel. I felt very comfortable and safe here. Safe area around the hotel, supermarket and restaurants are very close. Rooms nicely furnished and clean. Very good laundry service, the laundry was ready the same day and smelled good and fresh. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice staff but rooms very noisy i was in room 10 and all i heard was every single person coming and going, all the conversations in reception, literally everything as its at the top of the stairs. Shower had no hot water. Room and bathroom smelt like rotten eggs.
Dreading going back for another night of no sleep and eggy bathroom smell.
No lamps. No glasses in the room. No hairdryer. States has soap etc to use in the bathrooms both the shower gel and hand soap empty. Really far from town so its a long walk and tube or uber. Looks great on photos but really shabby and not a boutique hot.
Nice courtyard & staff. Vegan breakfast was a banana!
The hotel has a very central location to tour the center of Quito and the tourist sites, in the hotel also offer transport and many recommendations.
It is also a short walk to the historic downtown area. You can safely walk there, at least in the day. It's a short taxi trip (which reception will ring for you) if you're concerned or want to go to further away places such as the equator. Reception will also speak Spanish for you to help solve an issue of any company you're dealing with, such as day trips whose buses don't turn up.
Had the same room twice (room 9) and room 5 on the final night. They were both quiet and comfortable. There is a communal loungeroom (with toilet and shower in it, for if you're roommate has the key to your room), my only annoyance with this place is that they for some reason don't understand why strangers sharing an Intrepid room would each need their own key). Interior grassed umbrella and lounge/tables area is a nice place to mingle with other guests, as is a basic kitchen dining area. You get breakfast included, they even ask you how you like your eggs.
The reception and housekeeping staff were always friendly and helpful.
